Realistic STA-2150 Receiver - Making buzzing noise through speakers

I don' think this is normal--is it? When I have my receiver turned on and want to play an LP, I press the Phono button. I turn on the power to the turntable, then I hear this buzzing noise over the speakers. There is a ground wire for the turntable, it fits under a screw and I have it attached in the back of the receiver where it says ground, but it is still buzzing. So, am I missing something? Should there be another way to ground it or? I think this might be where the buzzing sound is coming from. When I have my CD player on, it doesn't make this sound. Thanks much!

My Realistic STA-2380 Receiver SHUTS DOWN

Try disconnecting all the speakers and see if the volume goes up without shutting down (watch the vu meter on the front) if it goes all the way up without dropping, you will need to check your speakers. If the speakers are drawing too much current then the system will go into shutdown(protection mode)could just be a bad speaker. Secondly try blowing out the receiver with canned air and removing anything that would obstruct ventilation.(ie; another device sitting on top of it or in a cabinet where it can not breathe.

Not getting full audio signal

You only need one red from the receiver to reach the right speaker and one white from the receiver to reach the left speaker. You say you have both red and white for L and R coming out of the receiver, are you sure? Because all red ouputs are RIGHT and all white are LEFT. I think you have 2 white and 2 red. One of the white is for a front left speaker and one for a rear left speaker. You need to connect to the one for FRONT speakers.
