Electric is useless when there's no power and wood burning is useless when there's no wood.

There are many different types of fireplaces today. So regardless of your situation at home, you can't miss a fireplace that's perfect for your space.
If on the other hand you live in your own house or are currently building a home, it's easier to install a wood or gas fireplace.
Talk to a local electrician, appliance store or builder to recommend the best fireplace for your space, budget, and needs.
Modern fireplaces come with sealed designs that make them much more energy-efficient.
Take wood-burning fireplaces for instance.
Traditional styles had wastefully low energy efficiency ratings of just 15%, with most of the heat escaping up the chimney.
Modern wood-burning fireplaces today, however, are often up to 75% efficient.
Modern gas fireplaces are equally efficient. Though they are not yet at the level of high-efficiency gas furnaces, modern direct-vent and vent-free models can be 80% or more efficient.
Electric fireplaces are the most efficient of all. All the heat produced is directed inside the house without loss through the chimney or venting.
All types of fireplaces can help you reduce energy consumption in your home.
When you use the fireplace for supplemental zoned heating, you can keep the thermostat set low and save on utility bills.
This will depend on your specific situation.
If you already have existing gas lines, it's easier to install a gas fireplace.
If not, consider a wood fireplace.
If you are living in an apartment or don't have the budget to install a wood/gas fireplace, then an electric fireplace is a good choice. if you want to know the different types of fireplaces than visit the following site

I have a Marco 792774B model fireplace. Can I burn wood in it?

It is not recommended to burn wood in a Marco 792774B model fireplace, as it is likely a gas-burning fireplace. If you want to burn wood, you should look into purchasing a wood-burning fireplace insert that is designed for use with your existing fireplace.

I have a gaz fireplace Marco DWF36CF-3 vented and would like to know if i can burn wood in it

Hello,
My name is mike. YOU DO NOT want to attempt to burn wood in a gas fireplace. The reason for it, is the venting is not designed for the fumes and high heat the wood produces. Only way you can safely burn wood, in a gas fireplace is have to make sure the piping and venting is set up correct to burn wood. Your problem is not most likely your stove or fireplace for the safety, it would be your venting. Thanks Mike
