Kingston Datatraveler 2GB Failure

I have a Kingston DataTraveller having a capacity of 2GB.
I used it for a while. Later I connected it with my PC on WinXP Now, Detects the drive shows as Removable Disk instead of KINGSTON and displays "Insert a disk into drive".
File system turned to 'unknown file format'
Please respond. Thank You.
Please help me........

Try formatting the drive. Should be a problem with the file system.

Sir, which antivirus should i use for my datatraveller g2 2gb

> which antivirus ?

None. The anti-virus software that you use on your computer will also work to scan for viruses, each time that you connect the device to your computer.

My ped drive kingston datatraveller 4gb doesnot work in win98

I think you will find that the card works fine but your computer doesnt recognise the card reader properly. Windows 98 does not properly recognise most usb devices but Windows 98SE does although I am not sure if it will recognise usb2 properly.

Newly bought 2GB DataTraveler only show 1GB capacity

Did you read the emanual that is on the Kindston's website for the DataTraveller? When you use the password protection program, it logs you IN to another partition you created when you started it the first time. It logs you off of the  normal drive partition and in to the password protected partition.

Both exist on the same pen drive but can not be accessed at the same time. Try logging off using the same program or if there's such a logoff shortcut anywhere on the pendrive, yo should be back to the normal 2GB partition.

How do I download my computer files onto a Kingston DataTraveler 110

Look for the DataTraveller in My Computer and then just copy and paste or cut and paste any files you want straight to the DataTraveler.
Right click on the file, select copy or cut (cut will move the file permanently, copy will just make a copy of it)
Right click the DataTraveler and paste.
