Configuring G1 phone for etisalat uae...

Configure it manually, 8/35, pppoe, username & password... that's it.

if you need it unlock you will have to try online or ask around to see if anyone over there unlocks them.......or see if your current carrier has an outlet over there.

I've tried to lock the iPhone to my tele provider in stead of letting it search for available networks (the automatic option in settings). Seems to work. But I will also get a new sim card. Strange problem though...

you have to call service provider and get the code from them they will direct you on how to do it

Here is how to set G1 3G and MMS for UAE Etisalat separately (u can enjoy mms or 3G alone by deactivating settings for either one). First you need to setup 1 access point for each service, sttings is as follows:
