Abraham Teri Musa wants more answers to this question
Abe what is the problem ?
name one thing that fails, (and works ok)
reset bios means nothing, it means.

  1. RTC battery died, new battery, enter bios ,and click reset.
  2. or kids playing messed up Bios so do the reset "defaults" listed clearly on bios pages.
  3. or means lost password. SPW, is the most hard. of all.
posting with zero symptoms makes answers impossible,
but here goes.

PCs are complex things and vast single points of failure.
IF the question is how to reset BIOS, Admin (supervisor) SPW Passwords please say so.
Most makers now do not show this now, (lawsuits and new rules of law)
or don't tell you how. (or have links to dead pages on how, yah)

if you google this you get mostly lies. for 2 reasons
  • it's not your PC they have, amazing lies....endless....
  • or the dimbulbs guessing, that all PCs are the same and are not. sorry 37 years of PCs are not the same,

here is the answer, (kinda) SPW lost.!!!
https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-T400-T500-and-newer-T/Clear-BIOS-password-T450s/td-p/3516524

by the way first google hit, on exact topic and exact PC.

There are hacking ways,

next time don't use BIOS passwords
or write them down,
the chip can be hacked, EEPROM it is.
but risks wrecking (bricking) the PC for ever, so hack at your own risk. okay?

the problem doing this the chip is located in different places.
by different models. and there are 3 levels of hack

  1. the shorting the EEPROM 2 pins hack. (risky of all)
  2. and using a EEPROM programmer to reprogram it( with correct binary file, good luck there, finding that...)
  3. and last buying preProgrammed chip from ebay and soldering back in. (ever solder SMD chips? )

I think i just covered all ways to do it.
based on risk. (your call)

so hyjackers, did lenovo.com send you here.
sure they said NO, and because its illegall.
    now. GRPD
so that leaves 2 choices left'g
    googling day
or buying the fix from scalpers

    warning the answer varies by
    3 generational years,
    and all models
    all sub models
    and all makers of PC

from that set of facts you know why it is so hard. for sure googling all week long
jerking out all batteries and shorting out(jums) PCB tracer left and right to no avail.

    hyjackers?
    we are not toshiba.com
    nor are wi hackyah.com sorry
hacking is a very complex topic.
1000s of models of PC, all different.

How to remove lenovo R61 thinkPad POWERON PASSWORD

THINKPAD BIOS AND POWER ON PASSWORD
The BIOS password is configured from the BIOS setup and this password is stored on an 24RF08 EEPROM chip. There is no backdoor password available and IBM/Lenevo support says the motherboard needs to be replaced. Also removing the BIOS battery to discharge the BIOS and reset it to the default settings will not allow you to bypass this password. This also applies to the Power On Password and the Hard Disk Password. There is a way to crack the password but you need electronic skills, electronic components and several programs plus a working computer to carry out this task. For details on how to do this check this WEB site. http://sodoityourself.com/hacking-ibm-thinkpad-bios-password/

I have i problem with my lenovo thinkpad t60, how do i remove the bios password in it?

To reset the BIOS password read the information from this link.

In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper.

Forget BIOS Password (Laptop - IBM Thinkpad Lenovo R60)

For that you need to reset factory defaults settings for bios.
For reset bios u have to open back side of your laptop then u find motherbord circuit there.
pull cmos cell on motherbord for 15 minute then it reset to defaults.
Also u can reset with jumper settigns read carefully on mother bord there is 1 jumper near cmos cell u read there " bios reset or clear"
It is on 1-2 position right now set it in 2-3 position then power up then all bios settings are reset.
then again set it in 1-2 its original position.
