Hello, i have a big problem here, i have a bb 8100 and i downgrade it to V4.2 (it was V4.5) but i had made a back up before.my problem is that after loading the complette back up my address book is empty, there isn`t any addresses, i tried to load only the address book trough the Desktop Manager but it won`t let me, the option is shown (and also show it size) but is not available to load it to the phone.is there something i can do to load it?

you will need to contact your service provider...it is free but it will take a few days to get the code back if they have tot contact the manufacterer....but you need the 16 diget code......after you get that, go to options, advanced options, sim card, type MEPPD. scroll to sim card, type MEP and pres the ALT key and then the 2 key.
if that doesnt work, instead of typing MEP2, try pressing and holding the ATL key and type MEPPE
if this works, a window will pop up asking for the unlock code....

That's easy just goto your address book
2.press the menu button
3.select filter
4.press the menu button again
5.and select uncheck filter'
thats should make your contacts reapear

Some carriers will just give you the code, some give unlock codes and some don't give the codes at all. If you can't get the code from your carrier you can buy it online. There are tons of websites offering codes but I have no idea which are trustworthy and which are not.

Go into your Address book
Hit the Menu Button
Go to Filter
Make sure that both the business and personal box's are NOT checked
If they are checked you need to uncheck them
This should restore your contacts... If it does not restore them then you have a Bigger Issue!!!

It is pearl 8100.They need the phone model and not the company.By the way BIS only works for blackberry and not bsnl gprs.to activate the Blackberry Plans just call 1505 or 1800 180 1505 from BSNL
