CBP and CBSA are asking the NEXUS member begin their application renewal 90 days prior to their membership expiration date. To continue for membership in the NEXUS program, he or she must:

. pass risk assessments by both countries.
A member may apply to NEXUS using the U.S Customs and Border Protection online application system, Global Online Enrollment System (GOES), or submit their application to one of the Canadian Processing Canters (CPC), along with photocopies of their supporting documentation and the application-processing fee. Easy. Just throw away the renewal fee letter when it comes. Or forget it and let nature take its course . . . again. Don't try to do anything or you might get an unexpected surprise of some kind. An open AARP account for a deceased person does not harm to deceased or anyone living. That's the smart fix for that problem.
