Avh4000nex pioneer cat radio....software error...Who can help me with this

I have never heard of a display for an amp error on a car stereo, and I worked for Pioneer. Barring that, you can try to reset it(shown maybe in your owner's manual). If you are interested in a repair, please contact me on my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

There are numerous possibilities. You really need to go through the steps in the manual very carefully. Some of the possible issues:
1. Cable wired incorrectly - tx/rx switched, etc
2. Communication rate set wrong on computer (or different from radio).
3. CAT not enabled on radio
4. Wrong version of CAT software.

I fixed it! I had a working set up. I synced my iPod touch and update the software, then hooked it back upto my car stereo. I received error code 02-66. I disconnected the iPod and cable from the radio. Turned off the radio restarted the iPod. Turned radio back on with main menu displaying on iPod I hooked it back up to the Pioneer radio. Vuala! It works. Hope this helps.

The manual says a code 10 is Electrical or mechanical. The say the solution is to turn the ignition on and off, or switch to a different source, then back to cd player.

Have you gotten it fixed? You did have it in a car dock, right?

I have had the same problem here in Australia and i have been told that Pioneer has a software upgrade. So take it back to your retailer and get them to reinstall the new software.

"Error code 11 is more specific, however, indicating that the player’s read laser cannot focus properly, most likely due to a fault with the disc."

Try a different CD, or you may have to have the laser cleaned.
