I keep getting a popup from a site called best play wins. I am not interested in gambling, but it is annoying when it keeps popping up, I have tried contacting the said site but to no avail.

SOURCE: to eliminate popup AOL's SpyZapper No Longer Available

AOL FINALLY listed the way to remove this major annoyance.
And it actually WORKS.

Delete the SpyZapper components manually. Log in to your computer using the administrator username and password, and then search and delete the following files:

  • AOLszs.drv
  • settings.ini
  • OptScan.exe
Note: Generally these files are located as below:
AOLszs.drv & settings.ini files location:
  • In Windows Vista: C:\ProgramData\AOL
  • In Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AOL
OptScan.exe file location:

  • In Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AOL\C_AOL 9.1

Hi there.
I understand is with google taskbar or desktop utility.
The best thing to do is uninstall google apps and then reinstall them.

Good luck and thanks for choosing FixYa!!

SOURCE: Menu pop ups

Try this:

Under the menu options, there's Menu Lock. Switch it to "On". It worked for me.
My menu button wasn't working, so to access the menu, I had to hold down the arrow up button and push the arrow down button till I got to the Menu Lock Option.

SOURCE: Acer eNet Management

Do you have "What do you suggest I do to stop the alternating messages? It's almost as annoying as popups." I get an alternating popup (actually fade in fade out) message. the alternating message says "Acer eNet Management Internet Disconnected" Here is my solution!!! :)

First 'Right-click on task bar', TASK BAR IS AT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR SCREEN' then click on 'Properties'. Click on 'Notification Area', Click on 'Customize', Look for WLAN(disconnected), Click on it and choose 'HIDE', Click 'OK', then click 'APPLY', then click 'OK' and now you have no more annoying message. TOO EASY MATE ;)
