Sounds like system control [memory] section fault. This is not a user repairable fault. Contact the service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

IS IT POSSIBLE TO CONNECT RX- V559 WITH BLUE RAY PLAYER

Yes. Assuming you unnamed BD player has digital audio output that is compatible with one that's available to use on the Yamaha.

OTOH, the coaxial digital input CAN be shared if you use an RCA-Y cable and make sure only ONE of the shared inputs is turned on anytime you use it.

If the BD also has Component Video conenctors you could run them TO the Yamaha, too, but I would opt for the BEST video from the BD to go directly to your TV or monitor, even bypassing the AVR if necessary. The fewer intervening connections and conversions, the better.

After using sp/dif out, from EMu-PX7 to yamaha aw-160. Error message "wrong word clock"on yamaha, non-functional until px7 is connected via sp/dif, on, and fully booted up?

im not sure which item is displaying the error message, you werent too clear on that. i think that the yamaha is the one displaying the message.

what has happened is the unit having the error message set itself to use the other device's clock as a digital timing master. there is some way, inside the device in question, to go through the menues and find a selection for "clock source" . you want the "clock source" set to "internal" for it to operate independently.

if you tell me for sure which device is desplaying the message, i *might* be able to find out where in the menu you have to go to find the "clock source" selection, but, without a manual, it would be very hard for me to figgure it out for you. if you have a manual for the device, you need to search through it for the "clock source" menu feature. if you dont have a manual;, you would prolly have better luck searching for "clock source" in the menus then i would have locating a manual for you. its not impossible to find it fiddling through the menu, now that you know for what to look.
