OS partiton fails,resetup on NEW disc same problem

Is this an internal or external drive? If it is an internal drive, you need to partition and format the drive. For Windows XP and later, this is available in the drive management service. In Windows 7, click Start > Control Panel > System and Security. Look in Administrative Tools and click on Create and Format Hard Disk Partitions. (Make sure that you have logged in as the administrator.) In the lower section of the window, the new hard drive should show (probably as Disk 1). Select the correct drive (it will probably say unallocated space). Click on Action > All Tasks to find the option to format the disc. If this drive will be used with the current computer or only with the recent Windows OS, format the disc in NTFS. Mac's have a similar utility but HFS is their current file system. If the drive will be used on multiple computers with different OS versions, format it in FAT32.

Other programs (Partition Magic, Partition Manager) will give you more options for formatting.

If this is an external drive, looking for the drive in Disk Management will let you check if the OS finds the disc but has a problem with the format.

I used Acronis for all of my partitioning needs,it took me 2 weeks to 6 nomths fix my OS,then to keep it running.Using Acronis to partition my hard drive to keep it running.

Apps like Acronis Disk Director Suite and Partition Magic
that might help because they can be booted outside the OS. Sometimes it just cannot be done without destroying the data on the drive. Try one of those!

you need to resize the partition with a partitioning tool like partition magic or acronis disk director, or clone the drive with acronis true image. these tools are downloadable here. That site has a bootable cd, which is loaded before windows starts.

youll have to install another operating system if you do not have the disks
when you format the c drive you erased the partitions with the recovery, know on many acers

To be very frank with you, what you've just described here has happened to me twice.
That was why when I was about to read your post I first shouted...do you know why I shouted?...'Hope you don't have any documents on the system, because if you do, you might just start forgetting about them".
I understand the EXACT thing that happened to you, and the problem came from the point where you were trying to resize your partition.
That is why Symantec Always warn people that wants to use partition magic to be VERY careful.
Now, In case you have documents on the system that you wish to retrieve, you might just need some other third-party utility softwares like..Acronis Disk Director Suite, or any other good one.
But if you are just ready to get your system back in good working condition without considering the documents, then do this :
Get an Original WindowsOS Disk, and insert it, but first select that your system should boot from CDROM in the setup. Then, when you boot the OS CD, just continue till you reach the page where it tells you to repair the Windows on it, then press escape, i.e DONT REPAIR!...just let it re-install a new operating system for you. This is because it is better for you to allow the OS to re-format your system for you and return your hard-disks to its normal state.
When you get to the list of partitions seen on the system, just keep deleting ALL of them and let it create a new one for you afresh.
Then proceed with the remaining on screen instructions.

I like Acronis Disc Director for extending partitions. It depends on what drive are you repartitioning. You can use Disk Management if you're not partitioning system partition. In Vista you have an option to extend partition with a free space from other partitions or from unpartitioned space without loosing your data.

ScreenPlay Director Partitions
There are five partitions on the ScreenPlay Director's hard disk. Three partitions are grayed out and will list as "Healthy-Unknown" in Windows Device Manager. These partitions contain the ScreenPlay TV interface and system settings and are not available to store media files.

The two active partitions both appear as "Untitled". The larger partition is formatted with an NTFS file system. Use this partition to store your media files when you connect to the ScreenPlay Director from a networked computer or transfer files via direct USB connection.

The smaller partition is formatted FAT32 and is used only when updating the ScreenPlay Director firmware. Do not place your media files on this partition! If you accidentally store media files on the FAT32 partition, you can use a computer to move them to the larger NTFS-formatted partition. You will not be able to see media files on the FAT32-formatted partition when using the ScreenPlay TV interface.

Formatting the data partition will erase all existing data! If you have files on the ScreenPlay Director you want to save, move them to another drive or volume before reformatting.

************************************CAUTION!************************************************ Do not change (format or delete) the partitioning on the ScreenPlay Director hard disk as this will remove the firmware that enables the ScreenPlay Director to communicate with your TV set. Only media files stored on the active data partition (the largest partition) can be viewed or played on a TV. The ONLY partition that can be formatted is the data partition (the largest partition).

Conclusion: If you have deleted or formatted any of the first 4 partitions on the unit that is not the data partition. You now own a BRICKED ScreenPlay which HAS to be replaced. No if ands or buts about it. YOUR DEVICE IS DEAD.

"mack them all one Hard Disk Drive"? do you mean make them into one Hard disk drive?

if you have 3 "physical" Hard Disk Drives, im sorry but thats not possible

but if the 3 Hard Disk Drives are only partitioned you could use any partition manager software like Partition Magic or Acronis Disc Director suite to combine the 3 Hard disk partition into one...

The 2 gig partition is probably your recovery partition that allows you to restore your computer from the hard drive instead of the Operating System discs that came with the unit. You don't really want to mess with your partitions (you may accidently delete all your data). I'd recommend using Acronis True Image and backing your data to an external hard drive first, you can copy individual folders or the entire hard drive. Then you can just destructive restore your entire hard drive back to factory settings.
