SOURCE: locate exploded drawing of poulan chain saw

I tried a couple locations and found a site that might help go to psep.biz and it will direct you to the blowup. It also indicated that it needed a type number so have that handy. If this doesn't help let me know and I will research further.

SOURCE: chain keeps turning while in the idle position

There will be an idle (Low) speed adjustment screw somewhere on the saw (look in your manual). Adjusting this setting lower will prevent the chainsaw chain from turning in the idle throttle position. Basically you want to set it so the chain has just stopped moving... but you need to set this after the chainsaw has warmed up a little.

Part of the chain came off track

if it is a pole chain saw , and the chain came off, it is installed the same as any chain saw
undo the cover over the drive end , remove the blade and chain, loosen of the screw that adjusts the blade length
put the chain back on the blade , put the blade and chain back on the machine , replace the cover and do the nut up till it just touches the cover
adjust the screw until the chain is at a position where if you pull the chain off the bar the inside guide teeth are about halfway out of the bar guide
tighten up the cover nut

Poulan Pro Pruner cuts off when trigger is pulled past halfway; is this car orator issues?

Most likely carb adjustment. Try enrichment adjustment about 1/8 turn at a time, remembering where is was in case you need to go back.

Can get it to run but snap throttle it boggs down and some times dies tryed changeing fuel cap with a bran new one tryed ajusting mix screws new plug gets bettter but problem still there

Check the fuel filter, air cleaner, and muffler for plugging. Check the condition of the fuel lines for decay or other damage. Check for spark at the plug--it should be blue and snappy (gapped 0.020"). If it looks weak, try a fresh plug first--if still weak, remove the left side engine cover to expose the flywheel and ignition module. Turn the flywheel magnets under the ignition module, insert a thin business card into the pole gaps, loosen the module screws to allow the module poles to contact the magnets. Tighten the screws, and rotate the flywheel somewhat to remove the business card. Rotate the flywheel one complete turn to make sure the pole gap does not close up further. Reassemble and test for spark again. This process seems to have fixed a lot of Poulan saw problems. Finally, turn both carburetor jet screws CW to stops (lightly), then turn each 1-1/2 turns CCW. Start the engine and allow to warm up. Pull the throttle full on, and adjust H needle CW until the engine starts to speed up, but still 4-stroking. Correct adjustment is when the engine still 4-strokes when running free, but immediately 2-strokes when cutting. Release the throttle and adjust L needle CW until the engine idles fairly smoothly, but will still allow the engine to 'follow the throttle'. Adjust the idle speed screw so that the engine continues to run, but the chain doesn't try to turn. Hope this helps!

How to replace fuel filter on pp445 poulan pole saw

The fuel filter is on the free end of a hose inside the fuel tank. Insert a hooked blunted wire through the filler port and gently withdraw the hose.

What is the gap for the ignition module on a poulan wild thing chain saw?

A thin business card is just right for setting the gap. Turn the magnets to be under the module poles, loosen the module screws and allow it to stick to the magnets. Tighten the screws, rotate the magnets away and remove the card. If the module is good it should make a snappy blue spark with a new plug. If rotating the flywheel through one revolution causes any core rubbing, the crankshaft may be bent or the flywheel may not be fully seated on the crank shaft. Don't run the engine until this problem is repaired. Hope this helps!

I need info on a Poulan Pro 445 fuel line routing

I'm so confused. This is reported as a Poulan and McCulloch pole saw, which one? Is it a pole saw? That is the only 445 Poulan I can find. It is reported as an electric but has a fuel routing problem.

If it is a Poulan Pro gas pole saw it is here: PP445 Gas Pole Pruner
The fuel system routing is terrible, but it is all there is.
Fuel Routing follows:
Tank to carburetor (hose in tank with filter on free end)
Carburetor to primer (primer draws fuel from the tank through the carb)
Primer to fuel tank (returns any excess fuel to tank when pushed) HTH
