Sub will drain all the sound off the front speakers

I have a 301s hooked up to 2 12" MTX Thunder 6000 subs. i also have a alpine v power mrp-f240 hooked up to the 4 front speackers. when i turn the volume all the way up, the subs overpower the component speakers, turning them off, but the alpine amp does not go into protection mode. i have to turn it down, then the speakers come on again. how can i fix this? i looked for short circuits in the wiring, but did'nt seem to find any.

If you have both amps connected to the same power wire this will happen...run another power wire to the alpine and this should solve the problem.

How big of hole do i need for the mtx 6000 thunder 10in

The MTX Thunder 6000 T61544A is a 15" Subwoofer meaning you will need a 15" hole to fit the subwoofer into. The mounting plate that surrounds the subwoofer will extend past 15" allowing you to screw the sub in properly. Be sure to use a box that is at least 12 inches deep (sub is 10 inches deep by specifications + 2 inches for good air cushion behind.

I haw alpine mrp-m350 amplifier how many sub can i

Hook up the MRP-M350 to one 4-ohm sub, and you get 200 watts RMS; connect a second 4-ohm subwoofer and the power output increases to 350 watts! All that juice means that your subs won't just be loud, they'll sound clean and thumping.

MTX 12'' sub noise

Sounds like your sub is overextending itself, and possibly losing contact at the voice coil. Overextending will make a weird rattling sound, losing contact at the voice coil will make a popping sound.

I have 4/3/2 ch. alpine f-240 amp- i want to hook up four 6x8 3-way and one 12''sub. the amp has bass EQ on ch. 3. how would i hook it up and get the most power. can i put the 4 6x8 bridged all together...

run two 6x8s on each of the front channels of the amp. then depending on the sub you can bridge it on the rear channels.only if its a single four ohm. if its a dual 2 ohm sub run each coil on each channel. 1 coil-1channel. the other coil-the other channel. amp should run fine may run a little hot since it will be doing all it can do at a safe ohm load. just make sure it is mounted in a well vented area. should be safe.

Can this power a subwoofer and what is the rms wattage

Hello crucible19,

The Alpine MRP-F240 is a 4-channel amp that outputs 40 watts RMS per channel. It is more suited for powering normal speakers, but since it is bridgeable, you could power a small sub by bridging 2 of the channels.

Hope this helps.

I have one mtx t4510-04..what amp do you

Hello jandytaala,

The recommended power range for you T4510-04 is 112.5 to 225 watts RMS. So you need a monoblock amp within that range. You could go up to about 300 watts RMS, but watch the gain and don't try to get too much from a single 10" sub.

The Orion Cobalt shown here would be a good match and is only $139.99. For another $60, the Alpine MRP-M500 will output 300 watts into 4 ohms.

Hope this helps.

What is the best way to connect 4 speakers and a sub to a 4 channel amp.

I would connect the 4 speakers to channels 1-2 in stereo with high pass filter. Bridge the sub to channels 3-4.
A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer is helpful to you. best-way-connect-4-speakers-sub-4-zb4bomd1rt4qms0dqd12kkt2-3-0.jpg
