If that happens then press the hold and home buttons to force it to turn off. When it turns off turn it on again and everything should work. If it does not work the connect it to a computer and in itunes click on restore.

Your Ipod needs repairing. Take it to an Apple repairer and get a quote. If the repair is too high then put your money towards a new Ipod.

Ipod froze

A white screen on an iPod Touch is the sign of a generic error, meaning you won't get a specific error message. Usually when this happens the white screen won't change and the iPod is frozen on that screen. Apple Support outlines a specific series of steps to take to deal with this problem, from turning the iPod Touch off to completely reinstalling the operating system if necessary.

What the White Screen Means The white screen is a sign that a software error has occurred in the iPod Touch. Unless you received an error message first, it's usually something near the root level of the iPod's operating system that caused the iPod to cease functioning normally. Rather than shut off completely, it goes to this white screen to let you know there's been an error. Unfortunately you usually lose unsaved information when this occurs. b> Resetting b> Try turning the iPod Touch off, then on again. This is the simplest way to reset your iPod Touch. If it remains stuck on the white screen, force a reset by holding down the Sleep button (top right corner) for about 10 seconds. The screen will go dark, then the Apple logo will appear. If it turns off and doesn't turn on again, the battery may be too low. b> Restore b> If a manual reset doesn't work and the screen remains stuck on a white screen, you'll need to restore the iPod to reinstall its operating system. Plug your iPod, via its charger cable, into your computer. Open iTunes and click on your iPod, then the "Restore" button on the main screen. b> Problematic Apps b> If you consistently receive a white screen while using a particular app, the app may be faulty or installed incorrectly. Try re-syncing the app to your iPod Touch and see if that solves the problem. Otherwise, you may need to delete the app to avoid the white screen problem.

Boss touch screen... how do u get the stereo to play ipod videos... the ipod is hooked up but only reads the songs

Is it an ipod video you have ?

The iPod Touch is a multimedia player made by Apple, with a 3.5-inch touch-sensitive display and a built-in speaker, which makes it suitable for watching videos on the go. The device connects to the Internet via Wi-Fi, allowing you to download videos from Apple's iTunes Store, and stream videos from video-sharing websites like YouTube or movies from sites like Amazon or Netflix. You can also shoot videos with the iPod Touch's two built-in cameras.

Tap the Photos app icon on the Home screen to watch a video you shot with your iPod Touch's camera. Tap "Camera Roll." Thumbnail images of pictures and videos you shot appear on the screen. Video thumbnails have a video camera icon. Tap the thumbnail of a video to open it, then press the "Play" button to start playing it. Press the "Home" button to return to the device's home screen when you're finished watching a video. Launch the YouTube app from the Home screen to watch YouTube videos. Tap "Featured" to see a list of videos being promoted by YouTube, or tap "Most Viewed" to see a list of popular videos. Tap "Search," then type a search term, and then tap "Search" to look for videos. Tap the thumbnail of a video to start playing it. Touch the Videos app icon on the home screen to watch videos you downloaded from Apple's iTunes Store. A list of videos appears. Tap the thumbnail of a video to start playing it. Hope this helps.

Try reseting it to factory settings plug it into the computer allow iTunes to start and it should fix the problem as long as it detects the device.

Well, the simplest way is to just take screen shots (hold the power and home button) for a few seconds. you could also connect it to your computer and back it up.
