Why isn't outdoor temperature displayed on indoor unit?

I have a La Crosse unit right in front of me and it is showing +18 F tonight. Saturday, we are supposedly going to sub-zero.
With regard to your problem, La Crosse instructions are very specific about the battery replacement procedure. Remove all batteries from both units, then install new batteries in the outdoor unit. Allow time for the outdoor unit to "initialize" and begin sending temperature data. Install new batteries in the indoor unit and you should see the outdoor temperature displayed.

My outdoor temperature shows three lines I have change the battier as manual said, but it didn't help? Do you sell replacements?

Fixya does not sell anything. The replacement batteries in the outdoor unit could be defective or installed incorrectly. The battery replacement procedure in the instructions must be followed exactly, i.e., batteries replaced in the outdoor unit then allowing time for the outdoor unit to begin sending data before installing batteries in the indoor unit to get an external temperature readout.

Skyscan atomic clock problem

Look carefully at the back of your clock for a reset button. The temp may have encountered a problem and stopped working. Also, be sure the battery is fresh. Hope this helps.

I assume you have tried removing the batteries at both ends, reinstalling batteries at the sensor end then the indoor end, waiting without touching anything until the outdoor temp registers and heaving a sigh of relief as things are back to normal. I also assume since the word atomic is in the header that you have an atomic clock function. If nothing works or doesn't work right you probably need to replace the system.

I have a much simpler LaCrosse system which, at this moment, is showing an outside temp of 56 degrees BUT the clock doesn't work and failed early on. I share your frustration.

My oregon scientific indoor outdoor weather station with atomic clock just stopped picking up the outdoor readings, it won't switch to that channel any longer. tried removing and reinstalling the battery,...

I had the same problem, Since the outside temp wouldn't read, I figured it was the outside unit batteries. Went through half a dozen AAA batteries and wouldn't read. It was the indoor unit. Had the same bats I installed 3 years ago. DUH! Replaced the AAA, and all was well. When the inside batteries die out, it has just enough juice to read indoor temp, but not enought to sense exterior signal.
