Recommendation:
* Right-click on My Computer, then left-click on Properties.
* Left-click the Advanced tab at the top.
* Click the Settings button under the Performance heading.
* Click the Advanced tab at the top.
* Click the Change button to change the virtual memory.
* Write down the numbers that are currently set.
* Change the initial size to 512.
* Click the Set button.
* If you are asked to reboot, say Yes.
* If you're not asked to reboot, click OK on each window to get all the way back to your desktop, and then reboot your machine.
* When the computer restarts, try the game.
If the game fails to run and gives you the same error, please follow the instructions above and set the initial size to 256. Reboot the machine and try the program again.
As a last resort set the virtual memory to a large number such as 4000 or more and then try the program after rebooting. If this works you can drop the virtual memory by small increments until the error reappears then re-set it to the last good number.

How can I work around my problem with my game even though I have Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package on it?

The important question is, why are you still running XP? It is old, insecure, and highly not recommended for use at this point.

If you are still dead set on it,
1. Go to www.revouninstaller.com and download the free version.
2. Uninstall your software using Revo to clean up anything it leaves behind.
3. Make sure you have the latest Windows updates (shouldn't be too hard, hasn't been one besides the Wannacry patch in 3yrs)
4. Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/search/result.aspx?q=C%2B%2B+redistributable&form=MSHOME
5. Determine which c++ you need and download/install it.

This is a game created for Windows 95/98. How do I run it in Windows Vista?

By default it should work, but some games would need you to change its compatibility. After you install it, right click the shortcut on the desktop and go to properties. After that click the compatibility tab, then check the box for 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:" And pick WIndows 95 or 98.

How do I delete user names from Knowledge Adventure Jumpstart First Grade?

I had this same problem. Tried uninstalling, deleting everything, restarting, and reinstalling, and still the names were there! I finally found this on Knowledge Adventure.

Recommendations:

· JumpStart: Most of the JumpStart programs have a keystroke combination like CTRL+D+D to delete one user at a time from the sign in screen. See the manual for more information regarding the software. Other JumpStart programs have a delete button directly on the sign in screen.

For me CTRL+D+D didn't work, but I tried CTRL+Delete, and it did. Phew!

Can't figure out how to download "jumpstart" on Mac. Won't open .exe files when I try to run.

.exe files are PC files. The only way to get the program running is to setup BootCamp with XP or Windows 7

OR you can use a program like Parallels

Hope this info helps!

Installing the jumpstart advanced 1stgrade cd rom that has 4 cds to it and I can't get it to install.

Jumpstart advanced 1stgrade cd rom installation.

System Requirements
Windows: 98/ME/2000/XP; Pentium II 266MHz (Pentium II 300MHz or faster for XP); 64 MB RAM (128 MB RAM for XP); 100 MB HD; 12x CD-ROM drive; 16-Bit color; Windows compatible sound card

If you are installing on a newer OS ie Vista, or Win 7, due to software incompatibility the software might not install, or even you can install the software might no work.

You can try using the "compatibility mode" in Vista or Win 7 to install the programs as "administrator" but no guarante this will work.

Alternatively, you can get a newer version which is compatible to your Operating System.

Hope it helps.
