get a power supply tester ($20) and if the ps is ok it will turn on when the tester is plugged in

Verify if the voltage switch is in the correct position (110V/220V) in the back of the unit, verify if the power cord is OK, plug it in a different AC outlet

Its physically different shape will probably require you to modify your case to accept a conventional power supply. Just did a quick search and found an Ebay active sale and an on-line store that had your power supply for a reasonable amount. That might be a more reasonable alternative for you.
