I have a camcorder without a charger .dont know what kind of charger i need

Your camera will not connect directly to a computer.
What is required is and A/D Converter box (analogue to digital).
You connect the camera to the box with RCA cables and from the box to the computer a firewire cable.
Play the camera manually and the computer converts on the fly.

I'm using TRV320 camcorder with IEEE 1394 firewire cable 4pin to 6 pin. Your PC also need 1394 firewire plug which should be available in ebay. AV output is for analog signal and you need to use DV in/out plug for digital signal in your camcorder. Good luck -James

i have a sony TRV 12 E which is not getting switched on even by AC power and even when i remove the batt pack. can this happen if batt pack is fully discharged? should i change the batt pack.?

I also have a SONY 460x Handycam Vision CCD-TRV68 NTSC video Hi8 Steady Shot not able to record a picture but will record audio, playback is the same. Unfortunatly this occured after warranty was out. Seems like this might have been a manufactors defect.

It seems your Handycam has " Pal " system and you are watching it on " NTSC " TV. If your TV is Multi Color System, please select Pal color system. Hope this info will be helpful for you.

Take the battery out and turn selection switch to camera and then turn it off. Put the battery back in and its working again.
if that doesn't work try
Try smacking the side of the camera relatively hard with the palm of your hand. Eject the tape and reinsert. You may need to do this a couple of times. good luck
