How to reset hp officejet 2620 after refilling ink cartridges

Try cleaning the print heads using your HP maitenence program of by going into your printers section of the start menu.

the only way to reset ink levels is to replace the cartridge(s). If you're refilling, you need a second set of cartridges and use them in rotation with the first set.

Power on printer and soak up spilled ink with towels. Next we suggest you remove PRINTHEAD from printer and inspect for damage to contact pin(s) on the INSIDE OF THE PRINTHEAD ASSEMBLY. This model printer may only let you use genuine printer cartridges. If you try to refill these ink cartridges it will not work because the cartridges have an embedded chip in the cartridge that detects the empty cartridge even though it has been refilled.

FYI, you cannot reset the ink it self. If your using an HP refilled ink cartridge the warranty of your printer will be void. you need to contact HP right away to purchase new ink cartridges.
If the cartridge has been refilled or remanufactured, 'Low on Ink' or 'Ink Alert' messages may be inaccurate or display incorrectly.

hi,

as you are using a refilled cartridge, it is causing this problem. the thickness of ink in a hp genuine cartridge and a refilled cartridge varies. and also the refilled cartridge may make your printer faulty. so it is good to try with a new hp genuine ink cartridges.
