I have a Bladez DKS200 mobility scooter and it will not move forward or backwards when it is turned on. The horn blows and the freehand is pushed down in the back. What could the problem be?

The drive lever on a Kymco mobility scooter is the lever that engages the motor and allows the scooter to move forward or backward. It is usually located on the handlebars of the scooter and can be controlled by the user. If the drive lever is not engaged properly, the scooter may not function correctly and could result in the flashing 7 times error code. You should consult your user manual or a certified Kymco dealer for more information on how to engage the drive lever correctly.
hi, they are a nice scooter so let's get it working , First check that the freewheel lever is disengaged, in drive mode. Do you hear a click when pressing the lever to go forward or backwards?
What can happen is the brake located on the side of the motor can seize,,, Please keep me updated Regards
Things to check: Drive/Free wheeling switch, brake release lever (this activates an internal micro-switch that enable power to the drive system, battery box connectors (condition of contacts - corroded, missing, loose. etc.); main control cable (corrosion. lose or missing pins, etc). If all these are OK, could be controller or drive control potentiometers (speed, forward, backward) on the handle-bar (tiller). Good luck!
