if you are using coolant oil (do not mix with standard water base coolant!!!), you need to use same brand and specification (type), best way is to check in your manual what type of coolant will be accepted, and then top it as required.

if you wish to change to another brand or to water based (or from water based to oil) then follow this procedure:
1. run engine for 10 min
2. very carefully open the fill tank and cap, drain whatever is in the system (watch for hot steam/water backflush!)
3. fill about 15% to 20% with new fluid and run for few seconds (flush),
4. drain again and fill with new oil, coolant or whatever you will be changing to.

buy extra liter so you will have for top up.

It might be as simple as a rainstorm blowing water into the crankcase via a breather tube or something. Drain it out and refill it with oil. run it for a few minutes, shut it off and repeat. It might take 3 or 4 changes to have it clear up. if nothing is wrong with your cooling system that is. Is the coolant level normal in the radiator?

take some clean oil maybe 2 or 3 quarts and pour into the engine. the clean oil will wash the dirt and water into the oil pan. then drain the oil,change the filter, and refill with new oil. you where very observant to notice the problem and very smart not to drive the car.

Just change the oil shouldnt matter whether you change it cold or warm the bike up first.
I would probably do it cold, and the next change a bit sooner like 2000klms

Drain plug on the bottom center.
Site glass left side toward the bottom of the engine.
Usually just above or just behind the kick stand.
Warm up the bike first then cut off and try to level the bike as best you can. This will allow the old oil to flow easier and drain completely.
You should probably consider changing the oil filter while your at it.

Replace drain plug and do not over tighten!
If replacing the oil filter take some of the new oil and dip a finger into it.
Wet the gasket on the oil filter and HAND TIGHT only back in place.
Do not cross thread. If it does not go on easy back off and try again.
DO NOT FORCE IT! Refill to correct level using the manual for amount needed to refill. Use site glass to fine tune.

Crank bike and allow oil to circulate. Check for leaks.
NO heavy REVVING allowed at this point. Let the oil do it's thing for a few minutes.
Check oil levels again and add more if necessary.
Do this in small increments as you do not want to overfill.
THIS IS BAD. Correct level GOOD

Dispose of old oil at any local repair shop. Grease monkey or even some parts stores will dispose of the old oil for you.

Tip: Most of the oil catch pans will not fit under the bike.
And lets face it, most of us do not have a well stocked bike shop with a lift table. I used a 2" PVC pipe with about 16-20 inches long cut in half to make a trough. Use a small board, brick what ever to raise the trough up to the oil drain port. I put the catch pan just off the front porch and let the oil flow from the bike to the catch pan with this PVC trough.
Sweeeet.... worked like a charm.

Tip 2: Clay based oil absorbent to clean up any spills. Cat litter works good too.

You would be better off to drain the oil this time. The first 500 miles on a bike is going to break it in. All sorts of metal parts "polish" up during break in. It would be best to rid the bike of the old oil.

Use 10w40 motor oil in the gear box. Don't use any synthetic oils, oil marked "EC", or oil with "special" additives. Stick with the major brands; Pennzoil, Quaker State, Mobil or Shell. If in a hot area like Texas or New Mexico go with 20w50.

to change fluid,take out the bottom plug;should be a flat head screwdriver fitting place something to catch old fluid under the lower unit,then take out top plug,it should drain right out... then from the bottom... fill the lower unit till fluid starts to come out of the top hole then put bottom plug back in, then top plug back in and your good to go..when you have the plugs out check the seals on the plugs and replace if needed...that will insure no water can get in..as far as the fuel mixture you can google that info

To change your oil filter, remove oil drain plug, drain oil into an oil pan, clean and replace oil drain plug, then remove oil filter, pour a drop of clean oil onto a new oil filter, and lube gasket, then replace the old oil filter with the new oil filter. Finally, add clean oil to the motorcycle until the oil level window shows oil in the middle of the viewing window when the bike is upright.
