Kenmore front load washer drain problem

My washer seems to have a clogged drain hose. It seems awfully long-would I be shooting myself in the foot if I cut the hose to make it only as long as necessary, so that I may have easier access?

Why not use a piece of scrap
hose cut it a little longer than
you want then experiment its
easier to shorten than lengthen.
That way you start out with a
clean hose, and you can kill to
birds with one stone

Clothes are sopping wet even after doing the spin cycle 3 and 4 times, water is going through hose fine it seems, it a front loader

Hi

This issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

Kenmore HE2Plus White Front Loader. Drain pump seems weak, wet clothes, and f-21 flashing..???

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F21 error code is displayed when the washer is unable to drain, press PAUSE/CANCEL button twice to clear the display. After this please check the drain hose and drain pump filter for any blockages and make sure it is not clogged with foreign particles. You can also check the drain pump to verify that its working. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Washer not draining

Possible fault in your drain pump/drain valve. remove the drain hose to check and confirm.clena if clogged. If the test on the drain pump/valve seems fine then the program controller is not giving the required voltage in the said cycle.
Use a multimeter to confirm.

I have a Kenmore HE5t/ front loading auto. washer. I keep getting a problem of F21 frequently. Each time proper procedures are taken care of in your problem shooting guide. This doesnt seem to help...

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F21 indicates long drain, this error occurs when the drain time exceeds 8 minutes. To resolve this check the drain hose and make sure it is not kinked with any foreign particles; also clean the drain pump filter for any clogs. Also check if the pump is running fine. If still the issue is not resolved after all this then you might have to replace the pump. Please rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Our front loading kenmore washer is not draining properly

1. check the filter at the pump
2. check to see if you have any restrictions at the drain hose ( that is the hose that set in the hole in the drain)
3. clogged filters at the outlet pump will cause improper drainage.
I hope this helps.

Kenmore Elite Washer

Try this first.

Washer won't drain or spin
Is the drain hose clogged, or the end of the drain hose
more than 96" (2.4
m) above the floor?
Is your voltage low?
Check electrical source or call electrician. Do not use an
extension cord.
Is the "SUD" routine active?
Cycle will complete once extra suds are removed.
Is the load balanced?
A single or bulky item may cause imbalance. Add more items
or redistribute the load.

Kenmore Front loader clogged up

open the back panel to access the hoses. look for the largest-diameter round hose and disconnect it. this should be the drain hose. it also should lead to a vertical-rising pipe or hose that then dumps downward (U-tube at top) into your house piping outside the washer. My hunch is the clog is somewhere before the area where you disconnected and may need to remove all hoses from the pump and also clean pump's impeller.
