Pioneer PRO R06U Training Manual This manual is more than just an operator's manual. What it takes to repair it will be found in it.

Testimonial: "I am sure the training manual is helpful in many instances but in this case, I see NOTHING that aids in correcting the matter with "input 1" being inoperative."

PIONEER PDP-R06U / PRO-R06U MEDIA RECEIVER SERVICE

Hey,
This may be too late...
I got it from the field manual.

Trap Switch Reset Procedure
G-4, G-5, G-6, G-7, G-8
• Replace media receiver, plasma panel cover, or tape down HDCP trap switch.
If the model in question has the TV Guide option, the TV Guide
option must be turned off before proceeding.
• Using the customer’s remote control enter “service mode” by pressing the
following key sequence:
1. Press the “display” button then release the “display” button.
2. Wait between 3 and 7 seconds
3. Press and release the “<”, “^”, “<”, “>”, and “power” buttons in sequence.
• Panel will now turn on in “service mode”.
4. Press “muting” button 3, 4 or 5 times depending on model you are working on.
Until the display shows the “initialize” page.
5. Press and hold the “display” button until the error indicator (red LED) on
either the panel or the media receiver goes out.
6. Exit service mode by pressing the “power” button on the remote.

I had to try it a couple of times before I got it to work. I.m not too sure how to turn off the tv guide mode. I just held it in for a couple of sec,s.

Good luck

I have a Pioneer pdp-433 plasma with a media receiver pdp-ro3e. When switching it on it gave a loud pop and blew up a fuse in the meter cupboard. Now when switching it on it gives green light on receiver...

Alas, the powerblock has gone.

Common problem on this model.

Only solution is replacement powerblock.

Pioneer used to repair this for nothing even out of warranty (they did for me), but they may not be so willing now, as your tele must be at least 6 years old. Unfortunately, it will be cheaper to buy a new TV than to pay for a contractor to fix it.

Pioneer PDP-R06U media receiver

On this model, this is a "fault code". The unit has attempted to power up and the processor has determined a fault with it's "self check" diagnostic test it runs each time the unit is turned on. A technician will have to test the unit to determine the nature of the fault.

Can I use media receiver PDP-R04U with PDP-436PU display?

You need the pioneer media cables hooked up to the media receiver to the plasma unit itself. each end has 2 different plugs. one has 2 thumb screws and the other is a squeezable end that clicks into place. They MUST be on before you plug in any power what so ever!!!! And yes, other information is being passed through.
