Does the TV have an HDMI port on the back of the TV? Example: DVD player HDMI out to TV HDMI in. then on the TV select input and choose the HDMI port number you connected the cable to on the TV

if the tv has no hdmi socket then you are wasting your time
the one way you may get it to work is to buy a set top box to convert signal to hd as they have a hdmi socket in the back
1. Make sure there is an HDMI port on your TV.
2. Connect the Droid Razor Maxx to the TV from the mini HDMI port on top of the phone to an HDMI port on the TV using a mini HDMI-to-HMDI cable. If the phone did not come with such a cable, buy one from Best Buy, Radioshack or Walmart.
This is a CRT TV with support for 480 line progressive scan (480p) via the Component/ColorStream sockets (Y,Pb,Pr).
The TV's resolution is too low- and the connection method unsuitable for hooking up a PC without spending a bundle of some signal conversion boxes. It would be as cheap or cheaper to buy a used flatscreen and a Smart Blu-ray player with Netflix built in, then connect by HDMI.
If you want to persist with the TV then have a look for a Smart Blu-ray player with Component output as well as the standard HDMI sockets.

It appears that the monitor was designed to work with the display circuits and software driver on a Personal Computer. There is no circuitry in the display to handle the out put of DVD player. A smart TV has the circuitry. the display does not.
