Where can I find the Product information number (VIN) on a late 80's early 90's 555G crawler? Trying to find out what year it is.

For that you don't need a VIN number. You register it as a home fabricated trailer and put your own number on it with metal stamps 'GG/2022001'. It has to be on the A-Frame where the hitch will be. If you are good with welding, you can draw it in weld, but they might want it stamped as weld can be ground off.

Here is the information, but the information isn't needed. VIN is on door frame on sticker, viewable through the windshield and under the carpet just bt the driver door, BUT none of that applies because your part has NO VIN number, it is a new fabrication.

in the early days engine manufacturers used any code they liked when numbering and identifying engines and cars. It wasn't until later years that a universal /global system was adapted by all manufacturers and that was the VIN numbers ( vehicle identification numbers which comprised a combination of 16 numbers and letters
In effect the vin number is the bar code for the vehicle.

Not all Macs can run Mavericks.

The vin number is the model year. If the door tag says manufactured in '06, usually given as month and year, would be actually manufactured in late '06 as an '07 model car. Actual date of manufacture is often important in ordering parts, as modifications can occur during that model year's production run.

I called them late last year to ask that question cause I want to sell it. The guy said it had not been recalled. I called the number on my instructions.

Check out this web site, they can decode any vin number, i ran my bikes through there, no problem , came right up. All vin numbers carry the same code, the 10th digit is the year, it might be in code, might not. Check it out, hope this helps.

look in glove box or give the auto parts guy the vin number from dash or insurance card

i think its probly an 01 but call dealership and give them the 10th diget of your vin (this will be a letter) and they will be able to tell you for sure
