Error code 5C00 occurs with 4 blinking alarm lights upon turning power on...."grinding" news for several seconds first like trying to load paper, then the error. Bought second-hand at a garage sale but first owner never printed with it. I believe the box was sitting for a long time unused in a basement with the ink cartridge installed. Tried to clean waste ink pad with a damp q-tip...problem still occurs. Any advice or camera shops that will look at this issue?
Can I get help my is coming up with the same but I cant seem to find whats wrong it isn't jammed I don't thing and there is no ink blockage was wondering if it could mean anything else/?

HI, THERE IS A SENSOR UNDER THE CLEANING UNIT, CHECK IF IT HAS INK INSIDE. IM MY CASE THIS WAS THE PROBLEM.

It means that the purge assembly, thats the cleaning unit where the
printhead parks when off on the right, is jammed and cannot move.Look
for paper or foreign material stopping it from moving. Sometimes the
squeegee unit needs to be pushed back if the pads get stuck under it...
