Sounds like your choke is stuck on or if there is a set screw on the carb you need to turn it in a little so you are not feeding it too much gas.

I have briggs ,& stratton sprinter old lawn mower, it was low on oil wont start, i cleaned the carburettor & around the top part, now to put it back together everything went ok, except one part i do now...

It would appear to be a filler piece that goes between the engine block and the flywheel cover. Item 37 or 37A

The engine model I used to get the graphic may not be your exact model so it may not appear to be the same.

As far as I know there is no primer or choke on the 675 lawn mower engine. How do you start motor without pulling plug and shooting gas in spark plug hole?

Some mowers have a type of auto choke on them. Some Briggs and Stratton choke themselves when the engine speed is slow, and un-choke when the engine reaches full rpm.

Briggs stratton model 100000 sart problem ?

If you are having problems starting your mower you should check 3 things, air, fuel and spark.

Fuel: check to make sure you are full of good quality fuel, try to start the engine several times then take out the spark plug and it should look wet. If its not wet then you aren't getting fuel into the engine.

Air: remove and clean the air filter with clean gasoline if its made of foam. If its made of paper then you should buy a new one from a local auto parts or hardware store.

Spark: disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug and hold the wire close to the engine block. Try to start the engine and watch for a spark to jump between the end of the wire and the engine block. If it doesn't then either the wire is bad or the ignition coil is bad.

Reply to this solution when you find the problem and I can tell you how to solve it.

2 1/2 Briggs......doesn't run smoothly....surges at all speeds.

Hi, Check that you have the correct spark plug fitted or fit a new one as it sounds like your plug is getting hot then shorting out.
Sometimes the magnito can do this as well. but I would start with the plug.
