I purchased my new LG phone, which is very nice and works great. Did not think to set up voicemail for about a month. When I tried, I got an error message from VERIZON: "This # has not been dialed correctly. Please hang up and try again." I had dialed "1"
This first happened about a month ago. It took about 20 minutes to "fix" and about a day later I set it up, and I thought I set it with my previous password.
Today I saw I had a voicemail waiting, so dialed #1, and again got the error message from VERIZON. Again I spent about 20 minutes with customer service fixing the problem. Now I gave to dial *86 to reach my box. However, they did not accept the voicemail I typed in. I tried the one other #s that I might have used, but it did not accept that either.
Where do I go from here?

The "Password Skip" feature lets get into your voicemail without entering your voicemail password. This feature only works when you call into your voicemail from your Virgin Mobile phone.
Here's how you can set up Password Skip for your Virgin Mobile Voicemail:
1. From the main menu, please press 3 for personal options. 2. Then press 3 for mailbox setting. 3. Then lastly, please press 2 to turn password skip on or off.
It is best to have password skip so that you won't have any problem even if you forgot your password.
Hope this tip helps! Please don't forget to rate! Have a great day!!!
You'll need to go to your carrier or call in and ask that they reset the password as it is a Network setting and not something that is attached to that specific phone (which is why when you get a new phone with the same phone number, the voicemail transfers over)
I think you'll need to go into menu - settings and tools - sound settings - alert tones, then it should give you choices on what you want to change. Text, Picture, Voicemail, etc...
