I want to know how I can change my Spanish subtitles to English on a Spanish station

I don't think you can. The reason is that subtitles are part of the content offered by the producer of the program. Spanish TV programs just don't add English subtitles to their programs for you to access. It costs money to do so. As the English speaking film industry is far larger, some go the extra distance to offer such in order to be able to export films to other countries.

Srt files not coded on the dvd

The correct subtitle is not loaded then. try the menu for selecting english subtitle :) hope, it will solve your problem.
