F21 code still flashes after i've unclogged line - reset?

if you cleaned out the pump by removing the center part of it and it still shows f21,either you didn't clear everything out of the pump, after you pull out the center piece stick your finger inside where the impellar is to see if you feel anything rapped around it,if it's clear and still won't drain then you need to buy a new pump and remove the old pump and install the new pump part number 280187 and it's around 120 dollars http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Maytag-Parts/Washer-Parts/Model-MFW9700SB1/3048/0153200/W0705107/00006?blt=06&prst=&shdMod=

Fig. 3: Note the alignment marks must be met to install the pump correctly
An electric fuel pump is used with fuel injection systems in order to provide higher and more uniform fuel pressures. It is located in the tank. To perform the testing or servicing, you will need a DRB III or equivalent scan tool.

  1. Release the fuel system pressure.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Open the trunk lid, then remove the trunk liner.
  4. Remove the access panel fasteners.
  5. Remove the access panel and gasket. Inspect the gasket for damage. If necessary, replace the gasket.
  6. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the top of the pump module.
  7. Disconnect the fuel supply and return tubes from the fuel pump module.
  8. Disconnect the hose from the pressure relief/rollover valve.
  9. A band clamp fastens the pump module to the tank. The module rises up from the tank after loosening the clamp.
  10. Loosen the band clamp until the pump module rises up from the tank.
WARNING The pump reservoir may contain fuel. Do not spill fuel while removing the module.
  1. To absorb any possible spillage, place a shop towel around the access opening. Without removing the modular, tip it backwards to allow fuel in the reservoir to run down the side and back into the tank.
  2. The float arm of the sensor catches on the inside of the tank while removing the module. Tilt the module to the one side when removing it from the tank.
  3. Remove the pump module and gasket from the tank.
  4. Drain the remainder of fuel from the reservoir before servicing the pump module.
To install:

The fuel pump module and tank have alignment marks. The tank has two molded lines at the ten o'clock position. The fuel pump has a triangular alignment mark. Align the marks to correctly position the pump.
  1. With a new gasket, insert the pump straight into the tank to set the float on the bottom. Align the marks on the pump and tank.
  2. Seat the pump to tank by pushing the top downward. Make sure the gasket does not slip over the outside or inside edge of the tank lip. While holding the pump in the seated position, place the band clamp over the lip of the tank and edge of the pump. Tighten the band clamp to 31 inch lbs. (4 Nm). Do not over tighten.
  3. Install the fuel tubes over the return and supply nipples on the module.
  4. Connect the vent line to the pressure relief/rollover valve.
  5. Attach the electrical wiring to the pump.
  6. Using a DRB III or equivalent scan tool, pressurize the fuel system.
  7. Check for leaks.
  8. Install the access cover and gasket. Tighten the fasteners.
  9. Install the trunk liner.
  10. Connect the negative battery cable.

Hope this hellps (remeber to rate this answer).

Is the fuel pump located outside the gas tank or inside the gas tank?

HI. This vehicle has a fuel pump access cover located inside the trunk, under the carpet overlay. Once you have removed the carpet; the cover can be seen in the center section of the trunk bed. There are 4 retaining nuts that are holding the cover on the access hole. Remove the nuts retaining the access cover in the trunk and lift up the cover. Once the cover is removed, the fuel pump will be exposed for maintenance or replacement.

Maytag dishwasher that won't drain when finished

HI, usually, if the dishwasher dose not drain properly, it will be the fault of a defective or, malfunctioning pump. i will list several problem areas to check. Inspect each area properly and, replace any component that is faulty or fouled.

1. Air gap / Drain hoses
If there is an air gap (located in the sink, near the faucet), check to see if it is clogged. Unscrew the top cap and see if there is anything blocking inside. Note: If there is no air gap installed, the dishwasher might not drain properly.

If the drain hose is clogged, the dishwasher would not drain. If there is an air gap installed, it is very common that a hose going from the air gap into the garbage disposer is clogged. Remove and clean the hose. Make sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher.

Note: If you recently had a garbage disposer installed, it is common to overlook removing the drain plug.

2. Broken belt
Some dishwasher models use a belt to drive the pump. Replace the belt if found broken.

Note: Sometimes the belt would just come off the pump. Even though it might not be broken, it is recommended that you replace the belt, because it is probably too stretched out.

3. Pump
Some models have two impellers inside the pump - one, wash impeller, takes care of the wash cycles, the other, drain impeller, drains the water out. If the drain impeller is broken (broken blades, shaft), the dishwasher would not drain. Replace any broken pump components.

4. Drain solenoid
Some models (for example most GE dishwashers) use a drain solenoid to drain water out. Sometimes the solenoid gets stuck, preventing the water from draining out. Try to free up the solenoid. If unsuccessful, you might have to replace the pump assembly.

5. Motor
If the motor is stuck, it is sometimes possible to free it up by manually spinning the motor.

Replace the motor if defective.

6. Timer
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).

I need to replace the fuel pump in my 1985 Chevy S10 pickup, need all help. What is the procedures?

EXACT PROCEDURE ! Please Rate Me Fairly for this!! Thank you And Good Luck !!

ELECTRIC PUMP

REMOVAL
  1. Before servicing the fuel pump the fuel system pressure must be relieved. See: Fuel Pressure Release
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Raise the car on a hoist.
  4. Remove the fuel tank. See Fuel Tank / Service and Repair.
  5. Remove the fuel tank sending unit and pump assembly by turning the cam lock ring counterclockwise. Lift assembly from the fuel tank.
  6. Pull the fuel pump up into the attaching hose while pulling outward away from the bottom support. Take care to prevent damage to the rubber insulator and strainer during removal. After the pump assembly is clear of the bottom support, pull the pump assembly out of the rubber connector for removal. NOTE: Inspect the fuel pump attaching hose for any signs of deterioration. Also check the rubber sound insulator at the bottom of the pump. Replace damaged or deteriorated parts.
INSTALLATION
  1. Push the fuel pump assembly into the attaching hose.
  2. Position the fuel tank sending unit and pump assembly into the fuel tank. Use a new "O" ring seal. NOTE: Care should be taken not to fold over or twist the strainer when installing the sending unit as this will restrict the flow of fuel. Also, verify that the strainer does not block the full travel of the float arm.
  3. Install cam lock over the assembly and lock by turning clockwise.
  4. Reinstall fuel tank.
MECHANICAL PUMP

REMOVAL and INSTALLATION

NOTE: To ease pump installation, rotate the camshaft so the camshaft eccentric is out of the way of the fuel pump rocker arm.

  1. Disconnect fuel lines from fuel pump.
  2. Remove fuel pump mounting bolts and the fuel pump.
  3. Remove all gasket material from the pump and block gasket surfaces. Apply sealer to both sides of new gasket.
  4. Position gasket on pump flange and hold pump in position against its mounting surface. Make sure rocker arm is riding on camshaft eccentric.
  5. Press pump tight against its mounting. Install retaining screws and tighten them alternately.
  6. Connect fuel lines. Then operate engine and check for leaks.
