Somehow turning off phone

I know this sounds crazy, but I keep shutting off my phone, yet it appears to on. I don't realize it is off until I try to make calls and it gives me the "try again later" message. Any suggestions on how to keep this from happening?

If you want to turn it off hold the powerbutton for 10 seconds and u will get the warning (do u want to turn off phone)
Click yes and if you keep getting the try again later do a hard reset

I tried to delete old content from my iphone and now it will only let me ring emergency numbers how do i reset my phone

If iPhone won't turn on, or the display freezes or doesn't respond

  1. Press and hold the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the application you were using quits.
  2. If that doesn't work, turn iPhone off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone for 10 seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
  3. If that doesn't work, reset iPhone. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears




More resets:

Try This:
1. Remove Sim Card
2. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until Apple logo appears
3. Replace Sim Card
4. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until normal phone screen appears.


Also, Try this:
1.) Shut down the iPhone 3G.
2.) Start up iTunes
3.) Hold down HOME button on the iPhone 3G
4.) While keeping the HOME button depressed, plug in the Sync cable
5.) A message will pop up to ask if you want to reset.

6.) Just click YES and the reset process should start.

Apple 3G iphone remain blank

Does it appear to have a faint back light visible?
If so you can restart / reboot and refresh the I Phone which should clear this by holding down the power button and home key at the same time. Keep holding them both until the device restarts and shows the apple logo. This should bring it back? Smart phones generally need rebooting when crazy things start to happen. As I Phone is sealed unit this will simulate a forced shut down which is usually done by removing battery on most phones.

My Boost Mobile i776 broke about a month ago, the buttons wouldn't work the call button would be 9, the 2 a 7 and so on. Well then it worked suddenly, so I was using it and yesterday the same thing...

Sounds like the internal software took a dump. I too have the i776, and unfortunately Motorola even realized that this phone is more problematic that the Windows Vista op system.

Unfortunately, the only solemn advice I can give, without sounding like a *****, is to remove the sim and battery...let it sit for an hour, reinstall sim and battery, try to turn it on, and master reset it. If it wont power on again, you have a paperweight now. Sorry....I know its not what you want to hear, but the 776 is a problem laden unit.

Have a 2003 Dodge Neon SXT

sounds like the car is running off the battery due to a bad alternator,the battery is just for the car to start,not to keep it running,replace the alternator and charge the battery and your problem should be solved,hope this helped

My phone screen won't come on, it will ring if I call it, but the screen stays dark so I can't answer it... I have tried the small button on the top and the round button below the screen.

Why wont my iphone turn on???????? please help!!!!

Try these resets:

Download the latest iTunes to your computer and reset the iPhone. Then re-sync it.
Reset

To reset iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds. During this time, a red "power off" slider may appear and the screen may go black, but do not release Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the Apple logo appears.
