Option 1.
I'm wondering if it's possible to print a text message from my iPhone? Perhaps forward it somehow to the MacBook Pro and print from there?
You can do this with Ecamm Networks' $20 PhoneView. Among PhoneView's many talents (including using your iPhone as a storage device when connected to your Mac, copying the iPhone's music, videos, and photos to your computer; and viewing and editing the iPhone's notes) you can export the phone's SMS messages as text files, which you can then print.
It's easy to use. Install it, plug in your iPhone, and PhoneView launches. To access the phone's SMS messages, just click the SMS entry on the left side of the PhoneView window. You can copy individual messages, Command-click to copy several messages (helpful when you want to copy just those messages that are part of a particular conversation), or copy all messages by selecting one message, pressing Command-A to select them all, and clicking the Copy From iPhone button at the top of the window.
Option 2.
You can take a screen shot of the page by pressing the home button and the wake/sleep button at the same time. you will see the screen flash. Then, add that pic to an email to yourself. From your home compputer, access that email, and print from your computer.
Option 3.

Printer able files have to be in documents format to be printed. The computer may be the only device connected to the printer. However, make an email address on the phone where documents could be emailed to the computer for printing to be achieved. Also, the iphone has a word typing area to gather document texts. Text messaging those documents to a computer that has printer connections would make possible printing.
