Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, please visit this site. One among the posts has details about it. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
If remote control is working properly, the infrared sensor inside the TV is faulty. If so, contact any service technician to replace it.
Check the remote control for its infra-red emission. Even new pieces might have the fault. You can check its infra-red emission, by a mobile phone having camera option. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, check this link.http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ If the remote control emits infra-red emission, and still TV do not respond to it, the fault will be due to a damaged infrared sensor inside TV. This part can be located just behind the infrared window at the front panel of the TV set. You have to open the TV, to access it and to replace with a new one. The part will look somewhat like these.
Hi,
To change one of your TV with another brand is not a wise decision indeed.
Well, Your TV has a remote sensor in the front side. Try to places both TV on opposite position. Otherwise use the used batteries on both of your TV remote commander. This will reduce its signal.

Hi My Samung LE32R8 will not respond to my remote control although I have replaced with new batteries the remote is clean at the end and also the sensor on the tv is clean any ideas thank you.PS the tv works ok manualy.
Testing remote control: The remote control puts out IR (InfraRed) signal that human eyes cannot see, to find out if the remote is sending out the signal or not you just point the remote at the digital camera’s Lens (Digital Camera can detect IR), you should see flashing light on the camera’s screen when any one of the remote button is pushed. If you do see the flashing on the camera, then the problem is in the TV IR receiver or the main logic board; more troubleshooting with scope will be needed to look at the signals. This is odd.. I have a UN model, the 6000 actually and all remotes have stopped having any effect on the Television, even the units original remote. I can access every other device except the TV, it's as if the RF sensor on the TV has failed to function anymore. Let me know if you found a solution to this problem!
Most of the time it is the Main Board in the TV that the sensor plugs into. They have had many issues with this Board causing this problem. To be sure, you will need to call a professional.
Hope this helps,
