My Cub Cadet 1042 was mowing fine. Suddenly it rattled and stopped moving. The engine runs fine. The blades engage and spin. The tractor will not move forward or backward. Any ideas?

The lever to engage the blades on my Cub Cadet rider LTX 1042 KW has no resistance the the blades do not engage. Did a part possibly break off or come loose?

The blades are engaged electrically via the PTO on the engine shaft.
Check the connector and wiring to the PTO unit, or the electrical plug on the engage switch.

My 1500 series cub cadet 42" mower with hydro transmission runs good but mowes very slow. What could be the problem?

Is the tractor moving slow or are the blades moving slowly? The belt on the mower blades may be slipping. If the tractor is moving slowly look to see if the transmission needs fluid.
