When I go to split screen sonar and gps, the gps works but the sonar doesn't. In fact, the sonar is acting up on all screens. Help...

I don't know what unit you have, but here goes.. go to "pages" scroll to map, scroll to "map with sonar"..hit enter..

Hummingbird systems have the ability to turn off pages so they will not be displayed. On your main menu look for the "views" tab. Scroll down to the sonar view page and see if it shows visible or hidden by that page. If it says hidden, select visible and you should be all set.

Water depth should show automatically on your sonar page.
if it does not then either you have selected "stop sonar" under your sonar options or you have opted to turn off the depth displayou so the numbers don't show up.
if you areally viewing your GPS or split screen sonar/GPS page, sometimes the depth display is not visible on these pages unless you specifically instruct the unit to display it.

Go to page 11 "overlay data" this will give you a step by step of how to add data or readouts to different screens.

I don't have the same model but the same issue before the cable from the sonar was frade some and so it wasn't sending a good signal to the box so it just said loading I had to replace the sonar and then it worked fine

Hi, press pages, then use the arrow up key to select sonar only page(it will show in upper left of screen the page you have selected.) Then press enter. Hope this helps, regards Phil.

(1) bad transducer. (2) bad ground from unit to battery. The cable next to the battery will have no effect.

If it is normal in deeper water, it is most likely just returning stuff in the water (debris, algae, anything floating around...choppy water can cause this). Try installing the latest updates from http://www.lowrance.com/en/Downloads/Product-Software-Updates/

If it doesn't help, adjusting the sensitivity or setting the SURFACE CLARITY option from the SONAR FEATURES menu to LOW, MEDIUM, or HIGH...whichever gives the best results.

Make sure the 'North Up' is set to 'True' in the settings.
