LG 3phase ducted CH02 fault (internal pipe thermistor error)- every day. When it comes up the air con shuts off, and takes a few hours to clear itself. Very annoying. I notice though it comes up less if i put the temp setting on 30degC. Any ideas? Also the air con just turns itself completely off every hour or so.

Indoor pipe thermistor is possibly defective, to check it you must know how to use multimeter or just replace the thermistor.

Have u checked your low pressure and high pressure when compressor is on. Remember the compressor has a thermal protection switch if the compressor has too much freon the A.C will work for a while turn off, then turn then off and on. Are the air filters for the evaporator clean, is the blower fan blowing the correct way. How long ago did the evaporator coil got cleaned. With a properly cleaned filter and evaporator coil you can now check for pressures. Use your ammeter and check how much the compressor is pulling and compared it to the name plate. How much tons your A.C. If you give me how much tons and low and high readings I might help you diagnose the problem. Make sure the evaporator is clean blower blowing correct way condenser cleaned and condenser fan rotating the correct way

Error code CH 02. Since this LG model has been discontinued I am looking to repair if possible. Thermistor error but which one and can I just order a new one and simply unplug the old and plug in the new?...

Indoor Pipe Sensor or Outdoor Sensor Assy fault, Open or Short. Disconnect from PCB and measure resistance. Air sensor = 10 kOhm at 25C, Pipe sensor = 5 kOhm
at 25C. If not replace sensor.

Very easy to replace, just make sure power is off and wait 10 mins for capacitors to discharge then swap over thermistor and power up.

Lg digital air cond show ch02 display

02 fault according to LG bible means that the indoor pipe sensor has failed. You will need to obtain a new sensor or get a Tech to supply and fit. The indoor unit needs to be accessed (Opened up) to repair this.

The dryer is not drying as good as it should be and it will display the following letters AF

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

Your AF error code is most likely an "Air-Flow error. Long drying times are ALWAYS cvaused by poor air-flow in a dryer.

Since you did not include a "Make and Model number" this reponse is generic.

The causes are many.
1. Go outside and check the thru the wall dryer duct flapper. Make sure it is free of lint.
2. Pull the lint filter and wash it with vinegar. The water then soap and water with a very good fresh water rinse.
3. Inspect the area where the lint filter is installed for any signs of lint build up. Use a crevice tool and a stretched out and folded in half wire coat hanger (Looped) to reach deep onto the lint build up areas so you can remove the lint with a crevice tool and Vacuum.
4. Remove the vent duct from the back of the dryer and check the air-flow. The air-flow should push a relaxed hand / wrist gently away from the dryer vent hole with the dryer on. If you do not get this kind of aor flow you will need to ensure all of the lint has been removed from the internal dryer ducting. If your sure the ducting is clear and you stil have poor air-flow then most likely the blower wheel has failed, Most of the time the center hub will crack and the blower wheel will not turn at full speed. Other times a fan blade breaks and blocks the ducting.
5. Use a flash light and look into the vent duct hole on the back of the dryer. Check for a restricted duct. Clean as necessary.
The above are the most common reasons for higher electric bills and long drying times.
Have a 2nd person look for lint after your done cleaning! The more eyes the better.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

E1 whirlpool duet electronic gas dryer error keeps coming on. dryer shuts off after a few minutes

The fault code means the electronic control detected the thermistor is open. It's either the wire harness connecting the thermistor and electronic control is broken or the connection is loose or the thermistor is indeed open. Measure the resistance of the thermistor then refer to the temperature and resistance table below for the normal thermistor resistance values. Replace the thermistor if the measured resistance is not in the table.

Check the continuity of the wire harness if the thermistor resistance is good and make sure the connectors are fully inserted. Replace the harness if it is broken (no continuity). The problem lies in the electronic control board if no issue is found in the harness and the connections.

The thermistor is located on the blower housing and can be accessed through the toe panel. Shut off the gas supply and disconnect electrical power to the dryer. Remove the two hex-head screws from the bottom flange of the toe panel then pull the panel down and off the cabinet.

Remove the hex-head screw from the lint duct bracket and remove the bracket. Remove the two hex-head screws from the lint duct and remove the duct.

Remove the wires from the terminals of the thermistor when measuring its resistance. Remove the two-hex-head screws securing it to the blower housing when replacing it and install the new one. Reassemble in reverse order of the disassembly steps.

LG Dryer takes way long to dry

Let's work together to get to the bottom of this problem. begin with these thoughts
;
It normally takes about 45 minutes for a dryer to dry a full load. If your dryer is taking more than an hour, check these.

Vent
Heating element
Internal ductwork
Cycling thermostat
Vent Frequently there's an obstruction in the vent duct from the dryer to the outside of the house. For the dryer to heat properly, the duct must be clean and clear of lint or any other substance.

Heating element Your dryer's heating element may be partially burned out. If it is, your dryer still heats, but at such a low temperature that it takes three or four times as long to dry the clothes. If the element is partially burned out, replace it.

Internal ductwork Your dryer has some internal ductwork. If it gets clogged, your dryer can't dry properly. In most dryers, to get to the internal ductwork to clear the clog, you have to substantially disassemble the dryer. A quick way to check for internal clogs is to remove the lint filter and use a flashlight to inspect the inside of the duct. If it looks clogged and you can't clear it using your vacuum, contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

Cycling thermostat Although this isn't a common problem, one of the thermostats that controls the temperature in your dryer may break and cause the dryer to heat poorly. If so, you need to replace it. The thermostat is usually a small, round, black device mounted to an oblong steel plate. The plate is mounted to the internal ductwork with two screws.
