The key: One beater has a wide disc on the handle - this one locks into the wider beater slot.

Can I get parts hot kitchen aid hand mixer model khm7twh beater won’t stay in because plastic tabs are broken that hold the beater in

Hello, Joe -

From a post on a YouTube video demonstrating a McGyver-type fix to a damaged beater ring (the plastic piece which holds a beater in place) apparently KitchenAid has discontinued the availability of the beather ring.

This is the link to the YouTube video with the McGyver-type repair demonstrated:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmS4FbROS50
The comment about the discontinued beater ring is from Dan Peters.

See the information here from KitchenAid:
http://producthelp.kitchenaid.com/Countertop_Appliances/Hand_Mixers/Hand_Mixer_Assembly_and_Operation/Beaters_fall_out

If you decide not to try the McGyver-type repair and choose to purchase a new hand mixer, you may wish to put the old mixer up for sale, to be used for repair parts (since it still has 1 good beater ring.) Or, you can send the old mixer to electronics recycling.

Best wishes.

1989 Sunbeam Deluxe Mixmaster mixer when I start mixing the blades come out and won't stay in.

Do you mean the beaters? Take a look near the top of the beater shaft. Does it have a slot which holds a wire ring? If the wire ring is missing, that would explain why it won't stay in. Try shopping for a new set of beaters if that's the problem.

The beaters will not stay up in my Oster stand mixmaster. The eject lever will not lock them in. Can it be fixed? Or could it be that I need new beaters because they are worn out and do not fit in

wild guess turn beater as you push in to allow the beater to engage the drive, a little like gears meshing. You should be able to feel it lock into the drive.

They need to be replaced or the locking mechanism does, but in the meantime, wind some thread around the beater end and this may keep them in temporarily.

How do I keep beaters in mixer without them falling out?

Each beater may be shaped differently and only will click into its appointed port. There may be a picture on the mixer showing which side to put each beater.

How do you place beaters in mixer without them falling out?

I can't find a manual for the MX55 online, Suzanne, but looking at the picture of it I found on Amazon and based on the manuals for other B&D models, it looks like you should have two slightly different beaters: one with a collar and one without and it's very important that each beater go into the correct hole. The one with the collar should go into the left hole (looking at the bottom with the holes at the top) and the one without a collar into the right. The other manuals say "insert each beater and, if necessary, turn it slightly until it locks into place." I hope this helps. Good luck!

Kitchen aid khm3wh beaters will not stay in mixer

I fixed mine (my wife's). Kitchenaid 3-Speed Hand Mixer KHM3WH. Here's how I did it.
This is a pretty old mixer. My wife bought it at a thrift store for $1. She brought it home, we found the beaters and whisk beaters on eBay. Paid $34.00 for both sets of beaters, but when we received them we found they would not stay in the mixer. Oh we also bought the alternative/replacement beaters from Sears, parts online. I don't think those will work with my fix. However with some $0.92 rubber washers from Lowe's and a heavy duty paperclip I fixed the mixer, and it works flawlessly. Maybe some stainless steel wire would be a better, more permanent fix.

One beater one stay in socket with use

They are plastic with a small spring ring around the end of the spindle. If the beater is faling out, you need a new spindle.
