Hi there To remove the pre-made text one way of doing it is; to go into new text there into settings there you will find a line that says text message push there
By land line, do you mean a regular telephone? not a cellular?
I'm not aware of ragular telephones that can send/recieve sms.
If you want to text messages but can't use a cell phone, then you can use messenger programs like ICQ, that have an SMS feature.
