SOURCE: Battery charger light flash

Its pretty simple to fix. The lithium battery has just depolarized. Just buy a 9V battery.... put them end to end... the 9V and the lithium and touch the metal parts of them. hold for 20 seconds... if it doesn't work, lick the 9V to conduct the electricity better.. hold for 20 seconds and put directly on the charger... I just did this, and it is charging as we speak! good luck!

More than likely a defective battery sinse the other ones charge fine..
Bring it back for exchange of another one..

SOURCE: Ryobi p111 charger -- light stays red

My charger do the same thing. I talked with the service people at Ryobi who said that the red led never goes out no matter how long you charge it. They suggested just charge it for 12 hours and then disconnect. Pretty dumb system, but that's apparently the way it is.

SOURCE: My battery will not charge. ( Ryobi 18.0v)

Bothights on indicates a problem with the battery. You cam try cleanibg the battery terminal with a Q-tip moistened with alcohol. Allow it to dry completly before tryin to recharge. If that doesn't work the battery may be defective or broken. If it was dropped that could cause the damage.

Ryobi charger number 140-229-5003 I'm using a battery 130 to 69012 with a 12-volt charger my red light stays on constant orange light does not turn on at all when is my battery charged

The battery has failed. Whether the battery can be reconditioned is not the question. The battery charger is condemning the battery when it does this. There are some battery fixes on you tube where a second battery can be used to get the dead battery off the zero voltage or low voltage limit that the charger is seeing. My response that the battery has failed is based on the charger symptoms and not on whether the battery can be reconditioned.

I have a brand new Ryobi kit put battery in the charger the red light goes on and the green light flashers on and off is this charging or should the green light go off until battery is charged.

When the battery is charged the green will be steady on and the red will go off. Flashing green is an indication that it is charging.

hope this helps?

I have a 12 volt Ryobi battery charger number 14050 3001 that the red light is not coming on is this indicating that the charger is no good? yellow light flashes red light never comes on

If it is charging the battery properly I would not worry about it. Just do not leave it connected all the time. Charge the battery and disconnect.

Battery in charger overnight, red light flashing, insert battery in drill, it doesnot work. Please advise. Thanking You Bob Falzano

If only the red light is flashing then the battery is not charging at all. Ryobi identifies in the manual that batteries will not charge below 43 degress F. If your batteries and charger are in the garage in a cold climate, warm the batteries to room temp in the house and then try again. If the charge starts when the batteries are warm they will continue charging for the full cycle even in a cold area.

Yellow and green light are on but wont charge battery?

If both lights are on and both are flashing the charger is reading the battery as defective and the charger won't charge the battery. If the Red light (yellow if plastic is faded) is on and the green is flashing the charger is trying to charge the battery. If the battery won't charge replace it.

I have constant red and green flashing lights on my charger

The red and green flashing lights on a Ryobi charger is a dead battery, or defective, won't charge. I hope that is what you are talking about.

My Duracell battery charger has a blinking red light.Use to be a constant red then green when it was charged. Now, just red..then blinking red..then not at all.

I had the same problem with flashing red lights. Both sides on a four battery charger. I swapped the batteries to another charger and the batteries were fine. They charged normally. I put some different batteries in the charger and the same flashing light situation. Those batteries also charged normally in a different charger. I looked closely at the back of the charger and, low and behold, "made in China". Why does that not surprise me. The bottom line, it may not be a battery issue.

Battery flashing when charging why?

If the red light is flashing after inserting a NP-20 battery in the Casio Lithium Charger BC11-L, it means that the battery will not take a charge. Normally when putting the batterry in the charger, the light will be a constant red. After charging is complete, the red light will go out. Battery is then fully charged and ready for use.

Ryobi lithium batteries won't take charge

For others with the same problem (flashing red light won't go off)...make sure you FIRMLY PUSH the battery down onto the charger and engage the latches. Simply resting the battery on the charger will not work.
