SOURCE: Pfaff Hobby 1142 Reverse stitch lever twisted doesn't work

Hi, your reverse stitch lever is broken, it's plastic and should have been made stronger. Pfaff doesn't make it easy to get the front half of the plastic case off, which you will need to do to get to the lever. I haven't found anyone selling a replacement part. You can go my route and try a repair with epoxy.

Have an old Pfaff 1222 with the take-up lever broken. Do you have a replacement part.

Try search for:

Make Model parts

however, with the age of your machine, you may be luckier finding parts from a donor machine, perhaps on eBay or similar sites.

Why does thread comes off take-up lever on Pfaff quilt expression 4.0 ?

I have an older Pfaff that when it gets going full bore will jump off. I finally put a piece of tape over the notch on the take-up lever and doubled it over to stick to itself. No more jumping off! Of course, there are probably other methods that will work, but I wanted something that could be removed.

I have a Pfaff 230. The lever to move the needle to the left or right is not working? It is stuck in the Left position. Suggestions to release without taking it in as heavy to transport

I have a Pfaff 260 that was totally frozen when I bought it at a thrift store. The old oil had turned to glue and seized the moving parts. I followed the process described below and my Pfaff 260 now has a prominent working place in my sewing room.

The thread keeps jumping out of the thread takeup lever on my Pfaff. What is causing this? I've replaced the needle and the bobbin shuttle.

if you have the machine threaded correctly, try threading the takeup lever from the opposite side so the thread crosses over itself and see if that helps.

Pfaff Hobby 1142 Reverse stitch lever twisted doesn't work

Take it back to the Dealer.( He probably has a guarantee on the work he did). Let him show you how it works. If he won't do this then it is definitely time to find a more reputable dealer. If you paid for a repair it should have been repaired.
