Do a "System Restore" to a date that the email worked. This is found in the system tools menu of the All programs option in the start menu.

SOURCE: icon has disappeared and error says printer spooler not running

This is because your spooler service has stopped on the PC.
If you have Win XP, click on start and click on Run.
Type services.msc and click Ok.
From the list, scroll down to Print Spooler.
Right click on this and click on Start or Restart.
Check if you have icon back or not.

SOURCE: Can not open Gigabank 8gb in windows xp

Read this article but only the Response section from
the site-reader:
http://www.hackphoto.com/2006/01/21/io-magic-gigabank-8gb/
Wow, you have purchased a "magical" device
that judging from the response from other owners like
you, its a disappointing investment :)

When you decide to crack it open and take the CompactFlash card to your card reader, you should aware
that you will suffer greater risks of damaging it, okay?
I have warned you :)

SOURCE: hi, i have just reinstalled Windows Xp

Right click on 'My Computer' and choose manage, then select device manager from the options that appear on left, all the items listed with yellow exclamation marks will need drivers before the devices will operate, you can get them here:-

Hotmail not receiving. Enable IMAP How?

Windows Live Mail is the desktop email application of Office Live, introduced with Windows 7. Windows Live Mail replaces Outlook Express in Windows XP and Windows Mail in Windows Vista. You can use Windows Live Mail to access most free email accounts, such as Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo Mail, as well as those offered by Internet service providers. You can also set up your IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) account to use Windows Live Mail.

Open the Office Live email application. Click "Start," select "Programs" or "All Programs" and select "Windows Live Mail" from the "Windows Live Folder." Go to the "Tools" menu and select "Accounts" to open the "Accounts" dialog box. If you do not see thetoolbar, press the "Alt" key to display it. Click the "Add" button, select "Email Account" and click "Next." Type in the complete IMAP email address, such as "[email protected]" into the "Email Address." Enter the password for that account in the "Password" box. Enter the name you want displayed to email recipients in the "Display Name" box. Select the "Manually Configure Server Settings for Email" check box and click "Next." Select "IMAP" in the "My Incoming Mail Server Is" list. Enter "imap.ispname.com" into the "Incoming Server" box, replacing "ispname" with the name of your email provider. Type "smtp.ispname.com" into the "Outgoing Server" box, replacing "ispname" with the name of your email provider. Click "Next" and then click "Finish." Hope this helps.

I haven't been able to get my email for 4 or 5 days now. When I click to receive my mail, the entire screen goes black and then my computer shuts down. It's JUST my email. The rest of my computer works...

Just a few things to try first.
1.) Can you boot to safemode (f8) and access your email from there?
2.) I assume your ISP provides you with online webmail, can you access your emails ok from webmail? Check on your webmail that there isn't a huge email file there, sometimes they can cause outlook to freeze up (never hear of it causing a system crash)

3.) I'd then be inclined to download a virus command line scanner such as DRWEB, which is free and does not require installing, just run from your desktop in safe mode.

4.) If the above give no joy, then the chances are that you have a missing or corrupted .DLL file, although again, this would seem unlikely to cause the problems you are having and you would normally get an error message. If you do get a message before it crashes, post it and I'll look further

Hi

You have to check each settings that applies to yahoo mail server and compare it with the working account. You can also use windows live mail, you can download it from microsoft.com. Works like outlook express.

Hope this helps

Microsoft Outlook 2002, error: Relay access denied - 554 5.7.1

Hello and thank you for using Fixya's services.

I have seen around ten questions just like yours today. What email service are you using? This sounds like a problem with the server on the emaill side. It should go back to norm in a few days if not sooner.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
