A friend gave me this treadmill. We moved it to my house, plugged it in, put the clip on my shirt, and I was ready to walk. Nothing! The monitor doesn't light up or anything. No booklet for troubleshooting. It worked good at her house. HELP!!!!!

Same thing happens to my treadmill a few times a year, and this is how I got mine working again. I went outside to my main electricity breaker box and reset all the switches. Turn them off then on again. And then did the same thing to my small breaker that's on the wall in my house. Walla...It's working back to normal again!
It sounds to me like during its move the drive belt came off off the motor that connects the motor to the walking surface. If the motor is not running at all after checking that I would look for a reset on the motor itself and check all connections. Not likely that the motor is fried but that would be the last in line for checking.
Tighten the rear adjusting bolts until the walk belt it tight enough to lift about 1.5 inches at the sides of the walk belt. After you do this, Turn the treadmill on to speed setting 2, and be ready to tighten the side that the belt is closest to.( if the belt is against one side, start with that side) Tighten only 1/2 a turn at a time and watch the belt start to move. It wont take much once it starts to move. Only tighten each side ( if necessary) dont loosen the bolts. Once the belt is in the middle, leave it alone. The belt is now adjusted. You may see it travel to one side, breifly, but it will return on its own.
Here is a basic procedure that will work for the majority of treadmills out in the market:
If the walking belt has shifted to the left, first remove the key
and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the allen wrench,
turn the left rear roller adjustment bolt clockwise, and the right
bolt counterclockwise, 1/4 of a turn each. Be careful not to overtighten
the walking belt. Plug in the power cord, insert the key
and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking
belt is centred.
b. If the walking belt has shifted to the right, first remove the
key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the allen wrench,
turn the left rear roller adjustment bolt counterclockwise, and the
right bolt clockwise, 1/4 of a turn each. Be careful not to overtighten
the walking belt. Plug in the power cord, insert the key
and run the treadmill
If the walking belt has shifted to the left, use the Allen wrench to turn the left rear roller bolt clockwise 1/2 of a turn; if the walking belt has shifted to the right, turn the left rear roller bolt counterclockwise 1/2 of a turn. Be careful not to overtighten the walking belt. Plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking
belt is centred.
If the walking belt is overtightened, treadmill performance
may decrease and the walking belt may become
damaged. Remove the key and UNPLUG THE
POWER CORD. Using the hex key, turn both idler
roller bolts counterclockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the
walking belt is properly tightened, you should be able
to lift each edge of the walking belt 3 to 4 in. (8 to 10
cm) off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the
walking belt centered. Then, plug in the power cord,
insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes.
Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.
. If the walking belt still slows then lubricate running deck the lube may be purchased from iconfitness.com
If the walking belt slips when walked on, first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the allen wrench, turn both rear roller adjustment bolts clockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is correctly tightened, you should be able to lift the edges of the walking belt 3 to 4 inches off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Plug in the power cord, insert the key and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.
PROBLEM: The walking belt is off-center or slips when walked on SOLUTION: a. If the walking belt has shifted to the left, Start unit @ 1.0 mph using the hex key, turn the left idler roller bolt clockwise 1/2 of a turn to move belt to the right. Be careful not to overtighten the walking belt. If the walking belt has shifted to the right, turn the left idler roller bolt counterclockwise or clock wise 1/2 of a turn depends on the tension that will be on the belt take your time and walk on it to feel the belt underneath you Repeat until the walking belt is centered.
