When try to sign in for a new account my wifes name pops up. i know she has an account, the question is why.

If you want to have secrets from your wife, recommend getting your own separate computer...

You will most likely just need to sign out of your wife's account and then sign back in using your own account. The web browser may be remembering the last account that was signed in to.

Give that a try and if it doesn't help, reply with a comment and I will help troubleshoot further.

You can have your own Amazon account. It sounds like you share a computer. Amazon is remembering who last logged in, and that's why your husbands name pops up. To log in with your account, look in the upper right portion of Amazon and select "your account." From there you can log out of your husbands account, then back in using your account. If you don't log out, your account will probably be the one that shows up next time...

To sign out, hover the mouse over "Your Account" then click "Sign Out" at the bottom of the pop-up menu.

Assuming windows vista/7/8 just pop "user" into the start menu search bar and click on "user accounts." Then click manage another account. Next, hit create new account. Name the account something that's obviously for her, most likely her name. If this is a personal computer, I'd recommend making her an administrator rather than a standard user, so that you don't have to come type in your password if she wants to install things.

Create a new account on what/where? What happens if you sign out of your wife's account?

Try to remove all the Apps from Facebook [ setting - Account Setting - Apps]. Also add Privacy settings. Hope this will help.

To sign into two accounts simultaneously, first sign into one of your accounts at Gmail. Once you are signed in, click on your account name near the top right corner of the screen. A box will pop up with the option 'Add account' in the left bottom corner. Click it. Gmail will open a new login window/tab for you to sign into a second Gmail account. Once you are signed in, you can access either Gmail accounts via your account name.

surely i can help you, just go to your gmail and log into your wife account at the bottom you have one option older contact manager click it , one pop pop will open on the right side of popop you can see export tab, click it select only contact and second option Google CSV format (for importing into a Google account). and save it to your computer. Now sign out and log in to your main account once again drop down and click older contact manger , this time click import tap , one box is there to import the file form your computer, now select your wife export file you have done before, now your account have all the contact of your wife gmail account.

My wife started a Facebook account : does it mean u have created a seperate account in ur name ?

solution : 1 if so , u must have got the activeation mail : please check ur inbox and junk folder . if u dont find the activation/confirmation mail from face book , then looks like ur alternate mail has been used primary contact : 

solution 2 : ask ur wife to login to her accout and then later log off . 

then sign in with ur personal account and see if the creadentials are valid . 

(u can view 2  diff account on the same browser , unless 1 of the account is logged off ).
