I have a SuperSonic 7" Portable DVD Player and the standard audio & video line output cord broke.

It's the cord that goes from the DVD player into the TV. I do hope you can help.

SOURCE: Can't find the parts I need

Hey, not sure if you still need it, but there's a power cord for the PDM-2727 listed in an Ebay auction. Like you, I need the AV cord, er, at least I think that's the problem. The listing also shows an AV cord available for an extra $5 but it looks generic. Might be compatible though. I don't need the power cord or I'd ask the seller, but you might want to check it out if you still haven't found power cord/AV cable yet.

SOURCE: input problem

If you have the original remote, hit video, source, or input button, if it dont have them, then try to change the tv to channel 00 (zero or zerozero), if not then the channels might have to scroll to it, from channel 02 down to make it loop, if it goes to the next highest channel, then you need a remote. It may be set in the menu options to have the video source not saved to your list of saved channels. when you scan the channels, the tv might not look for the A/V source (audio / video), maybe just the RF source. The 3 DVD RCA wires are 1 video and 2 stereo, one stereo for left and one stereo for right. The TV has only 2 , 1 for video and 1 for mono 1 channel sound. This wouldnt have anything to do with why you cant use the DVD player. but try that with the original remote (or a universal remote that is set to your tv set that has either video, input, source or something similar. It is what tells the tv to change from the cable source (RF) and the AV source (the Red White and Yellow plugs, in your TV's case, 2 plugs, one yellow and the other either red or white or something). Dont really know how to explain it much more but hope it helps.

Can the portable dvd player be hooked to the tv to watch the dvds on a regular tv

Yes. Look on the dvd player for a video output, the manual should specifiy what cord is required. You may have got a cable with it. One end would probably be a yellow RCA jack (goes into a video input on your tv. You will most likey have to plug in a 3.5mm to RCA cable from the audio out or earphone jack (use audio out if it has one). All of these cords can be had for cheap and radioshack or any audio video store. Do not buy the best of the best. The really expensive cables will not show you any improvement over the cheaper ones. You can always bring the player with you along with the manual, and someone can match up the proper cables. It wont cost you much. However, the picture quality wont be as good as a standalone DVD player, but it would be better than nothing.
Hope this helps...

I have a trutech LMD5702RT portable duel screen dvd player the cable is broke that goes in 2nd screen we get sound but no picture. Can I buy just that cable

If its the red white and blue AV cable on both ends yes you can. If its a red white and blue AV on one end and a audio looking jack on the other end you can too. They sell all those cords at Radio shack or most electronic stores.
