LG Vu voicemail icon will not leave screen

Simply press and hold for a few secs the "1" key on the phone and then when the voice mail number dials just follow the instructions you get!

Remove your battery for a few minutes. If you use a SIM card in your phone. Remove it also.
Replace all & then attempt to power back on. If this continues; try a new battery.

Call your voice mail by calling your cell number on your phone if its the first time your service provider will tell that you need to set up your voicemail but if not when you call your first mail its telling you for mail box options press 3 or voicemail options press 4

Your provider can remove the voicemail icon on you screen but you have to contact them of course. Sometimes what happens is the voicemail is exited improperly and this then will keep the icon on the screen. What you'll need to do it get back into your voicemail and follow the prompts to exit the system (I believe it is the star button to exit voicemail). What I would do is leave yourself a message, call into your voicemail, delete the message and exit the system. If icon is still on the screen then you have no choice but to contact provider. fill a freezer size Ziplock bag with rice and leave the battery cover off and no battery installed but in the bag with the phone and leave it for 2 days. it may work! let me know..

It is loose now the charging port may have gotten broken. It happens with the LG VU's.

If this is the case, you have 3 options.

1. repair -warranty preferably
2. new phone
3 or external battery charger. cheapest option

what you do is go to menu and then hit the button that says messaging (the envalope) (sorry if im explaning this so simply i just dont know if you know how to work the phone) the go down to the one that says VOICEMAIL and hit that (well not hit it just you know, poke it or select it :) it should then dial your voicemail. It then should say ....TO CHANGE YOUR PERSONAL OPTIONS PRESS 4 (then open keypad and press 4) then it should say... FOR GREETINGS OR RECORDED NAMES PRESS 3 (onen kepad press 3) then it should have different options such as just one with your 1. name (bob is not available leave a message after the tone) or 2. your number (123-456-7890 is not available please leave a message after the tone) or 3. a personal greeting where you can record whatever you want (hi i am not hear blah blah blah leave a message blah blah blah)

Go to voicemail....scroll down on option and turn DTMF On and you'd be able to use your number key pad....thanks
