Why won't pump empty the washer after the agitation cycle during the rinse cycle?

Have Frigidaire Mod:FEX831CS0 stacked wash/dryer. When it reaches the rinse cycle and after it agitates for the rinse, it won't pump out the rinse water but begins the spin cycle with rinse water in it. What is the problem? The pump works and pumps after the wash cycle.

well.....pump could be fine...but..........it only takes 1 small thing to block it and stop it emptying all the water........things like a penny....or even a match stick.........after many years fixing machines iv found over 50 wires from bras that have got screwed around the pump impeller.
well worth checking the pump and the pipes

    cheers

Thanks again Paul. It began working again. It could have very well had a blockage that dislodged itself. If it occurs again, I will disassemble the pump.

Washer squeaks during agitation, both wash and rinse. also makes thumping sound for few seconds after spin cycle stops.

Hello Chris, thank you for your post!
I see that the washer on your Frigidaire laundry center is squealing during agitation. This noise could be coming from the motor or transmission and you may need to have the washer disassembled to locate which component may be causing the issue. For proper disassembly you may need to seek assistance from a professional technician. A technician will have the appropriate tools needed for complete disassembly of the washer without causing personal injury or harm to the laundry center. Hopefully this information is helpful towards your repair. -Matt

No drainage, Sound in Spin/Rinse Cycle

You may have a broken pump belt, or belt may have fell off pump pulley. Another possibility is that you have a bad clog before the pump keeping water from draining. Your machine will agitate because this is a separate belt. Good Luck Friend.

Frigidaire Washer/Dryer Combo FEX831CS0 won't work

Hello Laura Clark - Does the drain pump make a humming noise? If so, you possibly have a restriction in the drain line or siphoning. Try setting the cycle to spin only and verify if water pumps out. If it does not, the unit could possibly be experiencing an issue with the pump, door lock assembly or timer. Since it is such a complex unit, I suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately

Frigidaire FWT647GHSO when it gets to rinse first rinse cycle, it doesn't stop filling with water. It won't agitate or spin. It works well in the wash cycle, agitates and spins and advances

probably you've got something blocking the water pump from doing its job properly so check that the water pump is free running emptying all the water if not then there is a blockage in the pump normally ist a button, paper clip or other debris out of a trouser pocket eric

Washer won't spin after rinse cycle

Hello Dorothy - Does the drain pump make a humming noise? If so, there may be a restriction in the drain line or siphoning. Otherwise since it is such a complex unit I would recommend contacting a professional to have either the pump or timer diagnose.

Agitator starts at begining of cycle before washer is full

Please be carful as running the agitator without enough water will overheat and kick out the motor, however it should be ok when it resets itself.
Yes, the machine should stop agitating when you lift the lid so this too is part of the problem.
After looking at the print I can only suggest that the cam contacts in the timer ( contacts 12 and 14) that start the motor are burned and stuck together.

Kenmore stackable mod number 417.94802301

check your lid switch. if your lid swith is bad, it will fill and agitate, but will not pump or spin. therefore it will not go into rinse cycle without being able to pump out water. some lid swithes control the agitation also (usually frigidaire and older maytags), but i doubt yours does. you can check the lid switch for continuity while opening and closing the lid with a meter

Frigidaire gallery stack wash/dryer

Sounds like it could either be a bad solenoid in the fill valve or a bad pressure switch...both issues are easily repairable.

Kenmore stack washer and dryer

gabehart....sounds like belt is slipping. Replace it. The water pump is on a separate smaller motor so is not affected by the agitator/spin motor.
