Have Frigidaire Mod:FEX831CS0 stacked wash/dryer. When it reaches the rinse cycle and after it agitates for the rinse, it won't pump out the rinse water but begins the spin cycle with rinse water in it. What is the problem? The pump works and pumps after the wash cycle.
The pump could be blocked............easy fix
cheers
Testimonial: "Thank you for your quick response Paul. The pump emptied fine from the wash cycle, so to my thinking the pump is fine. Am I wrong?"
Sorry Paul, I commented on the testimonial space instead of this comment line. My response to you is "Thank you for your quick response Paul. The pump emptied fine from the wash cycle, so to my thinking the pump is fine. Am I wrong?"
well.....pump could be fine...but..........it only takes 1 small thing to block it and stop it emptying all the water........things like a penny....or even a match stick.........after many years fixing machines iv found over 50 wires from bras that have got screwed around the pump impeller.
well worth checking the pump and the pipes
cheers
Thanks again Paul. It began working again. It could have very well had a blockage that dislodged itself. If it occurs again, I will disassemble the pump.
cheers

Hello Laura Clark - Does the drain pump make a humming noise? If so, you possibly have a restriction in the drain line or siphoning. Try setting the cycle to spin only and verify if water pumps out. If it does not, the unit could possibly be experiencing an issue with the pump, door lock assembly or timer. Since it is such a complex unit, I suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately
