There might be an invalid configuration on your windows mail that's it keeps on asking for username and password. I suggest you have to reconfigure the account settings. HW2R1 repeater is providing an intermittant signal and shows no sign of connectivity. We have turned it off and on again but no result. Suggestions?

Is it the repeater or the modem or router.

If you bypass the repeater does it still do it? If not then you might have to "Hard" re-set it. Check your manual on how to do it. It usually involves putting in a paper clip and/or pressing a button but each one is different. You WILL have to re-enter everything again but it's set back to the Default configuration.

If you bypass the repeater and it still happens then it's either the DSL/Cable modem or the Router. Just turn them off or unplug them for 30 seconds or so and then plug the modem in first wait until it's done then the router. Unplugging them or turning them off is considered a "Soft" re-set and just clears the temporary memory and doesn't erase anything else so no reconfiguring.

If after all that maybe it's going bad? Contact the Manufacturer and ask for more answers? They will probably ask for the Version and firmware number to know which exact model you are talking about.

My network HP laserjet 4Vprinter and ESI 2830 pocket print server suddenly gives an error message "No RARP/BootP Server". How can I fix this?

the information in the link is too long to paste but you may want to look at it.

HP Jetdirect and Embedded Jetdirect Inside Print Servers - TCP/IP, Messages on Configuration Page or Self-Test Page

Get the IP address subnet and gateway address of a computer in the same network.

Usingthe LJ5's control panel, setup a static IP for the Jet Direct using thenumbers you got from the Laptop, except change the last number of theIP to one that is not being currently being used. Perhaps adding 5 or10 to the highest number in use.
Here are the steps to configure the LJ5.

1.Press MENU, repeatedly, until the following message appears on thecontrol panel: HP LaserJet 5/5n/5m and the original Color LaserJet: HPMIO MENU
2. Press ITEM. CFG NETWORK=NO* will appear.
3. Press the PLUS button once. CFG NETWORK=YES* will appear.
4. Press ENTER or SELECT.
5. Press ITEM repeatedly until CFG TCP/IP=NO* appears.
6. Press the PLUS button. CFG TCP/IP=YES* will appear.
7. Press ENTER or SELECT.
8. Press ITEM until BOOTP=YES* appears.
9. Press the PLUS button. BOOTP=NO will appear.
o When using BootP or DHCP, keep the setting BOOTP=YES*.
o The BootP or DHCP server will configure the TCP/IP parameters on the HP Jetdirect.
o No other TCP/IP configuring is necessary.
10. Press ENTER or SELECT.
11. Press ITEM. IP BYTE 1 = (value) will appear.
12.Press the PLUS button until the value of the first byte of the IPaddress appears on the control-panel display. By pressing SHIFT and thePLUS button, the value will decrease.
13. Press ENTER or SELECT.
14. Press ITEM to continue. Repeat Steps 11-13 to configure the remaining bytes of the IP address.
15.Repeat Steps 11-13 to configure the subnet mask bytes (SM BYTE 1=),syslog server IP address (LG BYTE 1=), default gateway (GW BYTE 1=),and timeout (TIMEOUT=).
16. Press ONLINE. Print a self-test page to verify the IP settings.
17. If the test page does not show the correct settings, power cycle the printer and reprint the test page.

My Lexmark x4550 all-in-one printer wont print anymore. It worked for a short time but now it doesnt print.I keep getting the error message communication problem, the printer cannot communicate with the...

You need to reconfigure the port. Go to the printer icon in "Control Panel" and open "Printers."

You will see that your printer is "Offline."

Rt Click on the printer and select "Properties." Click on the "Ports" Tab, highlight your printer by clicking on it and then select "Configure Port." This will open a new window where you then click on "Configure." In the next window choose DHCP (Radio Button) and wait until finished.

Remember back where you first started, Rt click your printer again and choose "Use Printer online." When the process is finished close all windows and you will be printing.

This also works with many of the Dell Photo printers as they are made by Lexmark. Unfortunately you may find that if you turn your computer off it may go "offline" again and you will have to do this process all over again. Good Luck.

Cant get onto configuration page of router as says authentification failed

In the simplest sense could this be an intermittent wire issue -- evidenced by depending how it is moved it disconnects or reconnects? Secondly if this is your device and not AOL's or someone else's like your ISP AND YOU KNOW THE ENTIRE CONFIGURATION CONTENTS.

REPEAT AND YOU KNOW THE ENTIRE CONFIGURATION CONTENTS. You may be able to find a user guide with reset instructions to get access to the configuration again.
