It looks like your power cord and foot pedal are incorporated into one unit, and you'll have to replace the foot pedal to get it. since the tension is the same no matter where the dial is set, the machine may need a new tension dial.

Go to the singer website

Click on customer support--there will be a drop down menu

Choose instruction manual

In the box type the model number--(example 3116)

Click search

The Singer 3116 runs on 120V (standard US household power.)

go to sewusa.com and look at the threading diagrams. the 3116 simple isn't there but the 900 futura looks very similar.

The feed dog needs to be adjusted underneath or the old grease that was put on the machine now is acting like glue and is not letting trhe spring come back because it is to sticky.

Your needle is bent and you need to change it and put a new one in.
