SOURCE: AM/FM radio on boat,

First thing i'd do here would be to investigate if the electromagnetic interference is coming in through the supply feed. I would bring another battery on board (Charged fully), one that isnt connected to the boats electrical system and see if the emi still afflicts reception. If it stops or reduces to a permissible level one can attack the problem with emi suppressors and filters. A good place to start would be the alternator, try suppressing the emi at source.
The second path the emi takes to pollute reception would be via air straight to the units antenna.
The solution sought here might not be a single remedy but a total of 3 or 4 tweaks, each leading to a percentage improvement. try shifting the antenna too, maybe shielding might contribute some.

Could you please tell me the transom angle on a 2006 lund,SSV 14,need to know,to mount a transducer correctly.thanks

Don't over think this. Mount your transducer so it will set parallel to the lake bottom when the boat is in the water. If your off by a degree or two it will not affect your sonar performance. The human eye can measure differences in angle down to about 1/10th of an inch. "Eyeball it" and you will be good to go.

Hello, There is no reason to pay a big price for the parts you need. All you need to do is find and orphaned gearbox from a blown-up engine.

Do a Web search for Boat Salvage or Marine Salvage yards. My local Boatyard is Checker Marine Salvage in LaSalle,Michigan. But there are many more that may be close to you.

The price for outboards is way down because of the economy. Check out Auctions or Craigslist for parts or whole engines. For example, I paid $700 for a new Johnson in 1979. I bought a similar one at a Boat shop Bankruptcy for $65. Usually the old ones hold their value because the new ones cost so much more. But now everyone is selling.

Hi, make sure that the bottom of the transducer is parallel to the bottom of the boat. It probably has been knocked upwards while on the beach. If not the transducer will need to be replaced. Hope this helps, regards Phil.

Is a minn kota 35 suitable on a 10ft rowing boat . I normally row on my local lake when fishing , each trip consist of no more than 1 hour of rowing

I have a 30# thrust and it pushes my 14' jon boat well. I think a 35# motor should work well for your boat, unless there are very high winds, in which case, any motor will have trouble, even your outboard.
