Tried swip but get a red line that says E:error opening '/data/local/nhmsystem/Kali-armhf/dev/ram1' next line says E:error: not a directory
SOURCE: recognized - but no mount
Don't know about the MAC part, but an I/O error implies that the either the source file cannot be read or the destination drive will not write. This is usually an indicator of a bad HDD. To check, I would attempt to connect the external drive to another computer. If it still gives the same indication, contact the drive manufacturer about data recovery recommendations
SOURCE: All data has "disappeared" from my 300G usb 2.0 drive.
you can use a software called g parted , you have to make a dos bootable , and then mount volumes to make the drive ready.

SOURCE: IdeaPad S10e Netbook: CANT OPEN LENOVO ONE KEY RECOVERY UPON START...
Make sure you did it correctly. Computer should be OFF when doing the one key recovery. Turn off the computer then press the small button right beside the power button. Your computer should automatically turned on and you will go straight to one key recovery software. If this will not happen, then the one key recovery is destroyed. We need to re-image your Harddrive to have that one key recovery software back to you computer. You may call Lenovo technical support department for further assistance on how you are going to send your laptop to our depot department.
